It was already far into the night when Neveah was awakened by that terribly pain churning in her gut, the intensity of the pain banished the wave of sleep from her consciousness almost immediately.

Neveah sat up on the bed, it had taken every ounce of will to restrain herself from jerking up and letting out a scream.

It was the kind of will Neveah did not think she could muster twice.

'If you do not wish for him to find out, we have to get away, Veah. Bear with it.' Neveah's wolf comforted anxiously.

Though Neveah's wolf constantly reminded her there was no use keeping this from Menarx as he would eventually discover it, she still complied with Neveah's wishes to withhold it for the time being.

Neveah sucked in a deep breath, gently pushing off the covers shared by her and Menarx .

Menarx rolled over and Neveah winced slightly, biting down harshly on her bottom lip to keep in any sound as she slowly moved away from Menarx's embrace.
