FIRST HALF

August 31, 2007

In the football calendar, august 31 represents the last day of the summer transfer window.

As the clubs were busy making a final push for bolstering their team by signing new players so were Leeds.

Currently, Oliver was meeting with the representatives of Nottingham forest regarding the sale of one of their players, 23 year old was morgan.

In league one, the third tier of English football, one team plays for a total of 46 games each without adding the cup games so generally players tend to get tired and sometimes may not be able to perform their best due to fatigue. Ryan wanted more dept in the defense of Leeds to prevent players from getting overworked and recognized morgan as a player who could provide said dept to the team so he had asked Oliver for this transfer.

After some negotiation, Leeds, and forest came to an agreement on a fee of €400000 for the player. After the two clubs came to an agreement Leeds quickly moved to discuss the terms with the player and quickly came into agreement.

So on the 31st of august west morgan became the fifth signing of Leeds United football club.

1st September 2007

Leeds faced Luton town in home ground and won the match 1:0 against their opponents courtesy of a late goal by Andre flo who came in substitution to Beckford, continuing their winning streak in the league

Elland Road stadium

"Good evening, everyone! today, we're bringing you the fifth round of the coco cola league one match between Leeds United and Hartlepool United"

"I'm Roy Spencer, bringing you to live commentary for this game alongside me is Nickolas Smith"

"Hello everyone Nickolas Smith here"

"So Nicolas what do you think the approach of the Two teams Will be in today's game "

"Well Roy today we could see a very tight game between these two sides, Leeds is currently unbeaten in their opening four games while Hartlepool has won 3 of their 4 league matches quite comprehensively. saying that I think Leeds will be desperate for a win today. If they manage to win today's match they will finally be out of the negative point they currently have."

Under the shadow of the stadium made by the sun, Lewandoski stood in his position outside the center circle, eagerly awaiting the referee's whistle to kick off the match. He had gone goalless in the last three games so he was burning with hunger and desire for a goal.

As the kick-off Time drew closer, his anticipation for the goal increased along with it.

"FWEEE"

The referee finally gave go-ahead at 15:00 sharp. The match finally started with Hartlepool's kick-off. Ritchie Barker Hartlepool's forward kicked it back to his teammates in the midfield.

The Leeds players immediately went on to dispossess the Hartlepool players.

Prutton managed to steal the ball from the Hartlepool players and with his amazing vision was able to spot Lewandoski, who was bolting forward expecting a pass. Seeing that Prutton ahead immediately sends the ball towards him.

Lewandoski managed to catch the Hartlepool players by surprise, when got near the Hartlepool box he tried to remain as calm and composed as possible and swept his gaze looking at the situation. He immediately noticed Beckford lurking steadily towards the Hartlepool goal. Lewandoski raised his leg and sent a ground-through pass towards just inside Hartlepool's 18-yard box.

Beckford was able to pick the pass easily sensing a pass coming and easily fired the ball home.

"GOALLL! It is only the fifth minute and Leeds are already ahead by one goal," Lewandoski heard Roy the commenter say"Nickolas what an amazing pass from Lewandoski and an equally amazing goal by Beckford, The Leeds forward duo caught the Hartlepool defense napping and easily capitalize on it by scoring the first goal of the match "

"Danny Wilson must be fuming seeing his side's such sloppy defense, one look at him on the bench you'll understand how much angry he is at his defender "Nicolas cut in

"I would blame him though," Roy was quick to reply "If I saw such amateurish mistake from my players I would be fuming at them as well"

"If I was a Hartlepool player I would be very scared to enter the dressing room after performing like that and facing the manager"Nicolas laughed saying that.

"So Nicolas after the first goal area you going to bet your money on Leeds," Roy said laughing at Nicolas's words

"well," Nicolas said"the game has just started, and I'll put my money at the end of the 90 minutes if it's allowed that is. For now, let's take you back to live action. The game has just started with Hartlepool's kick-off. However, they seem still in a daze from the previous goal. They haven't managed to settle down into the game conceding a goal so early on. Their passing and positioning seem a lot messy and they are finding it hard to hold possession. Hartlepool from previous games and Hartlepool today seem to be a different team"

"once again, Lewandoski has managed to catch the Hartlepool defense sleeping with a wonderful lofted pass over the midfield "Roy hears Nicolas say out loud" my lord what is happening today in the Hartlepool defense They are being ripped open left and right by Leeds forwards. Beckford has easily controlled Lewandoski's pass. He chests the ball and a volley towards the goal."

"What a terrific save! Jan Budtz makes an excellent save deflecting the ball keeping Hartlepool still alive in the game".

"Lewandoski this lad seems in form of his life today penetrating the Luton defense with such ease, the future this kid holds seems limitless"

"And there you have it guys, it's the end of the first half with Leeds leading the scoreline with 1:0"

"The scoreline may not show it but Hartlepool showed a really disappointing performance in the first half, had it not been for their goalkeeper's excellent performance they would be down by a few goals already, "Roy said

" Hey hey what are you guys doing, you are letting that Leeds kid do as he pleases "Dennis Wilson wise shouted at his players"

"Are you telling me you lot can't even handle a kid, and Elliott what were you doing there you were tasked with keeping that Lewandoski kid wasn't you, should I give the task to someone else?

"No sir, he just caught me off guard a few times it won't happen again" Elliott replied

"It better not, I don't want such mistakes in the second half are we all clear "

"yes, sir" the players replied in chorus.

"Then head back to the pitch and do your best, "Danny said.
