[Invitation for our dream VRMMORPG - "The Tree of Life' from Yggdrasil Inc.]

That is the first line in my mysterious letter that came to me after waiting so long. The Virtual reality massive multiplayer role playing game (VRMMORPG) finally became a reality after the effort of the experts and researcher in these three decades. They struggle for long time to make the dream come true. Well, of course, I just got the invitation, but not really playing it yet.

When this dream started? After been introduce in anime, manga and light novel in early 2000, the VRMMORPG become one of popular genre and inspire many people to make it as a reality. The plot of this kind of story focusing the player of this game compete themselves for honor and adventure. The extreme story one focusing the player been spirited away in to the game and start living in the game world. They are also story about a death game, which the player will die in the reality if they died in the game.

The VRMMORPG also giving birth into the 'Isekai' genre; the story about people in this world being send or reborn as a baby in fantasy world. This kind of genre always been prefer by others as they image themselves to become Over-Powered hero in other world. These kind of genre eventually overused by the authors but still preferred by fans. Who doesn't want to go to other world and become hero there?

For that ambition and dream, in 2020, there is one group of computer experts declare that they will build the company to let the VRMMORPG became reality. They ask people around the world to fund them, by paying USD 100 per month for the membership. The member who join and funded this company will granted a special privilege; becoming one of the players if the game successfully created. Most people will call it as scam or stupid dream, but about 3 million peoples around the world have became the member in the first year when the declaration have been made.

Are you asking me if I stupid enough to join this suspicious membership company? Yes, I am. In that time, when my age already 30 years old, I still loving anime and manga, so I decide to fund them without thinking too much. It is funny and foolish decision you see, as I wasted USD 100 every month to fund them, about 1/50 of my salary. I pay by deducting from my credit card. I'm not a freeter, but a full fledged salary man with a good position in my company.

The 3 million members become less and less after the project still doesn't show any sign of success or progression make lots of people voicing their worries. Some of them tried to claim their money back and try to take action by legal but it's only fruitless. 10 years when by, and finally the first news came from the company is they buying a island somewhere in the southeast Asia for their new base. Buy the way, the company name is Yggdrasil Inc. The company is quite low key and rarely appear on the news. But, the sudden news brings the members a pleasant joy as Yggdrasil already make another step in their business.

20 years later, Yggdrasil Inc. still quiet with any progressive news, but the rumors said that the company already brought one of the biggest company in the world, of course in computer business. They also invested in many companies, which all of them are the successful one. But the news still doubtful as none of them comes out in the officials or trusted source. The members also reduce into one millions, but that won't effected the company itself.

If you ask me that I still paying for unfruitful investment, well, yes I am. I even forget about it until I checking my bill for the credit cards. It doesn't hurt my financial as I still a bachelor. Not in university of course, but a virgin unmarried man. Yeah, yeah, some said I already achieve the grand wizard, after all I reaching my 50 in that years.

Finally in 30 years later, the left over members, about 500 thousands receiving the invitation to go to the secret Island of the Yggdrasil Inc. They send the members the airplane ticket, only one per member and ask them to take the flight with their private airplane. The news of that invitation became a rage in the social media, and most of member delighted and joy for the opportunity. But, they confuse why the company don't introduce the waited product in the market? They even hidden it from the public and join informing the members. Moreover, the members require to leave their hometown and stay in the secret island to play the games. Furthermore, all of the member already old and reach their retirement age.

If ask me that I insane enough to accept the invitation, well yes I am.
