The months went by and the day of departure arrived. I packed a bit of food and my knife but didn't bring my phone in case it got broken. I rushed out of the castle since I'd woken up late. I could see the docks and Theseus' paradox. It had two floors and was lined with cannons on the one underneath. I ran through the crowded streets and had to push through some of the people. I could see everyone else and they were already busy playing board games. "Oh you're here, let's get the ship sailing" said Theseus getting up. He raised the anchor and someone else raised the sails. As they went up, I saw something. The other side of the sails were black.

I went to the lower floor and searched for the room I'd been given. I entered it and it wasn't too small but wasn't big, it was just a normal bedroom which was a first. I laid down and went back to sleep. I woke up in the night and looked out of the window. Athens was in the distance and we were in the middle of the sea. According to the guides, the journey would take three weeks. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't anymore. I began to imagine the Minotaur. According to the guides, it had monstrous strength and could rip my legs apart with ease so I planned to stay back and strike it from afar. I'd tied a normal rope to my knife after making a tiny hole in the weakest part of the handle so that I didn't have to rush in with the rest.

Morning came and Athens was now barely in sight. Ahead were a few rocks and on them were some figures. As we came closer, it became clear that they weren't humans. There were strange pillars with many white holes filled with spikes. It swayed gently with the sea so we passed by without second thought. Suddenly, a loud shriek echoed through the waves and the things slid of the rocks, leaving a watery trail. Suddenly they emerged again but were twenty times the size they were before. A cone shaped thing emerged from the waters and under it were a pair of yellow eyes. "The Kraken!" yelled someone I didn't know. An arrow shot into one of it's tentacles. The same yellow liquid oozed out of the tentacles and it fell into the sea.

I threw my knife at it's eye and hit it straight in the iris. It bled out and it raised a tentacle which pierced the stairs on deck. I pulled my knife back and slashed the tentacles. It bled out and grew limp then slowly slipped into the sea. It wasn't as strong as it looked and only took a strike per tentacle. The two archers pierced the kraken's tentacles and eventually it had none left. I threw my knife at it's eyes and now it couldn't see. Han and Theseus jumped onto it's head and cut through the creature's shield. It le out one final moan then began to sink. They quickly jumped back onto the boat. Luckily the boat was metal so the liquid which we found out made you bleed didn't do much to the boat. "That's not the kraken" said Shan (The guide), "I've seen it before when I was a young lad and witnessed it's rage".

"No wonder it was so weak, it took one shot to stop a tentacle" said one of the two archers smugly. "Don't get too cocky, Orion" said the other archer. I realised it was the archer from the calydonian boar hunt. "Also why's there a kid here?" asked Orion. The girl shrugged and left. "Anyways, we could use him as a distraction while fighting the Minotaur since he's probably useless to us" he said squatting down to reach my level. I realised how tall he was and was confused to why he wasn't a close ranged fighter. He got back up and stomped away. The two spearmen sat down and continued playing their board game and the medic disappeared off to somewhere else. I went back down and just stared into the sea. I could still see the Kraken sinking and five other smaller animals chewing on it's corpse. I leaned back and slowly drifted into sleep.

I woke up on top of a puddle. I crouched down and inside was a small insect. I stood back up and stepped on it by purpose. In front of me was a dirt pathway which was wet because of the rain and in the distance was a wall. I walked in my bright yellow raincoat but slipped and fell asleep.

I awoke again in the night and looked out of the window again. It would be a while until we'd reach Crete and fight the Minotaur but it was worth it for the rewards. My fourteenth birthday was happening in about two months. I went back to sleep soon after.

Morning came but I stayed in bed remembering the dream. The village I'd seen was probably were I lived. I didn't bring my guitar either so I had no form of entertainment. the journey was far more boring than I expected it to be. I looked into the sea again and saw something. It was a huge dark patch in the mostly clear water. There were a few slightly lighter cracks in and many small dots moving inside the water. I leaned in closer and saw a big strip of blue swaying in the water and realised it was another kraken. It was alive and was on top of something else I couldn't see and was hammering it with it's tentacles. The small figures kept on coming closer then backing away as if they were attacking and retreating which made me realise they were people. "Hey guys, I found an underground city or something!" I yelled pointing at it but no one was there to hear me.
