7 Chapter 7: Bigshot

Feeling bored from waiting, Joaquin stood from his seat, disliking how the wood of the chair dug into his back. Feeling Calyx's gaze on him, Joaquin merely tucked his hands into his jeans pocket before walking passed the male.

"Young Master?" Calyx called and Joaquin didn't spare him a glance as he moved to the exit of the store, leaving a statement behind for the employees in the store.

"I'll be back in two hours or so," he left the store. Hearing the sighs of relief, Joaquin snorted and Calyx followed him. Outside, Joaquin walked to the small glass wall that made it up to his hips. His eyes roamed the people walking below in the mall as he was on the second floor.

Having to find no one that aroused his interest below in the mall, Joaquin averted his eyes, placing his fingers on the little banister, he hummed faintly as he looked at his nails. "Guess I can get y'all done since I'm here." He muttered.

"Young Master?" Calyx called, confused as he wondered what his Young Master muttered.

Joaquin sent the male behind him a fleeting glance of distaste as he wondered how to get rid of this little tail known as Calyx. Nevertheless, his nails needed repainting. Thus, Joaquin moved towards the silver elevator that was a few steps away from him.

Joaquin stood at the elevator door and in surprise, he watched the slender back of his bodyguard move in front of him to press the button. As the light ding sounded, Joaquin closed his lips as he thought… 'Guess he isn't dumb as I thought.'

The doors of the elevator opened and Joaquin entered. Calyx followed him and Joaquin took Calyx's presence to be a little pleasing. Hence, he rolled his shoulders, looking at his reflection on the silver surface of the elevator.

The doors of the elevator opened and Joaquin exited, on the third floor of the mall where the beauty products were. Hence, most of the population were females and upon seeing the two males, Calyx and Joaquin received a few strange gazes.

Joaquin regarded those gazes and looked for the familiar shop, he always visited when he came to Country X. Then, remembering the familiar route to the nail salon, Joaquin entered the brightly lit store after a five-odd minute walk.

Entering the store under the passerby's strange gazes, Joaquin paid them no mind as he sat down on an empty chair in the shop. Immediately, an employee came up to him. The female employee was confused as she watched Joaquin yet she forced a smile on her lips.

"Hello customer, do you have an appointment?" She asked politely, feeling uneasy in this young man's presence.

Joaquin raised a brow, "Do I need one?" He stressed on the I in his sentence. The female employee was a bit flustered yet she did her best to appease the male.

"Sir… you are going to need an appointment!" She insisted as her tone got harder. Joaquin paused, looking up at the female. Scanning her face lightly, he asked. "Do you need this job?"

The female employee was confused, "What?" Nevertheless, she felt that this man was too troublesome. Hence, she went to the back for her manager to deal with the problem.

With a charming body and face, the manager stepped out of her room, cockily with a voice filled with arrogance. She asked forcefully. "Who dares to cause trouble in my store?"

Joaquin watched the female with disdain, "I do! What are you going to do?" Hearing the ice cold voice, the female paused in shock. Her bright green eyes followed the sound of the voice, seeing the light haired male and his purple eyes. She choked, fear filling her eyes as she quickly flew to the male's side.

"Young Master!" The woman called with a tremble in her voice. Her smile, looking worse than crying as she sat opposite the male.

"How may I help you today?" She inquired, hating the female employee who called her out here to face this bigshot that could close down her salon in a blink of his lilac eye.

Joaquin raised a brow, "Don't I need an appointment?"

The woman head rattled like a drum as she shook it. Her shiny red hair following her every movement, as her red painted lips opened, "No… No… No, Young Master!" She refused.

Joaquin hummed, "Oh but I was informed that I needed one."

The woman trembled, "Don't worry about my careless, employees, Young Master. They are blind."

Joaquin raised a brow, "Oh… They are?"

The woman nodded, "Yes. Yes. They are."

Joaquin smiled lightly yet the woman's heart trembled in fear.

"Then… I would like to repaint my nails," Joaquin stated.

The woman nodded, "Okay, Young Master. I will do them personally."

Joaquin smiled, "Okay then."

The woman smiled stiffly, "Yes, Young Master."
