3 Chapter 3: Mystic Isle

Exiting the mansion. Joaquin's eyes spotted his father in front of a black-tinted SUV. He frowned, walking over to the man. "Boss," he called once he reached close enough. The boss of the strongest Yakuza nodded, "It's good that you are finally obedient!" He let a smug smirk slip on his lips as he patted Joaquin's back roughly. Joaquin merely stood still despite the boss' heavy hits.

Joaquin rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses, "Yes boss. I will depart now."

His father nodded, giving Joaquin a last pat on his shoulder. "Make our family proud, my boy!"

Joaquin nodded and entered the SUV as Calyx opened the door.

"You'll meet Country X in two hours, maybe there you'll have something to eat," The boss laughed wickedly with a strange glint in his purple-colored eyes.

Joaquin smiled without emotion. "Yes, boss." He allowed Calyx to enter and close the door.

"Let's go, Adam." Joaquin beckoned. The driver in front nodded and the SUV started with a low purr before smoothly driving down the graveled road of the Jigoku family tradition Japanese mansion. Joaquin looked out the window, admiring the flora of their mansion for maybe the last time.

As he sat there, his stomach let out a low rumble, indicating that its owner was hungry. Time seemed to freeze in the car as Joaquin shifted himself in his seat. He rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Never been hungry before?" He asked with a scoff.

"A lot in the past, Young Master," Calyx nodded. "But here."

Joaquin watched the male with distaste as his eyes lowered to the bowl in his hands. He wanted to refuse, however, his stomach protested and roared again. Calyx let a smile slip on his lips before he flattened it when Joaquin looked up at him.

"Here, they are nikuman from the kitchen," Calyx placed the wooden bowl on Joaquin's lap. "Plus, you will need energy to deal with the heirs in Mystic Isle."

Joaquin snorted, "Energy or no energy it's easy to beat those losers anyways."

Calyx nodded, "Yes, Young Master. But please eat."

Joaquin hummed and opened the bowl. The fresh and mouthwatering aura of the nikuman had him drooling. So quickly he split his chopsticks and began to eat.

Calyx watched him with a teasing glint in his eyes, "Enjoying Young Master?" He inquired.

Joaquin paused, pushing his sunglasses above his eyes and on his hair. "Somewhat," he muttered.

Calyx suppressed the smile forming on his lips as he turned away, "Okay, Young Master. I will not disturb you."

Joaquin humphed, "Just know, I still remember earlier!" He grit his teeth angrily as he recalled that embarrassing scene of him getting suppressed by his bodyguard! He, Jigoku Joaquin was suppressed by his underling. If this spread as gossip imagine how his pride and ego would be severely hurt. His reputation would go up in flames! All because of him, Joaquin's eyes breed fire as if he wanted to murder Calyx with his eyes.

Calyx nodded, "Yes, yes, Young Master. I understand."

Joaquin felt like he was punching cotton. Hence, he turned away from his bodyguard with a frustrated huff but still, his hands moved with the chopsticks, from the bowl to his mouth very quickly. Calyx watched him from the corner of his eye, a small smirk tugged his lips.

Tsundere. Calyx thought, rubbing his left eyebrow.

Time flies when you are on your phone watching either a TikTok video or strolling through Instagram.

"Young Master, we're here." Came Adam's voice.

Joaquin looked out the window, "Country X," he mumbled. His purple eyes watched the calm blue sea making a well-rounded bay that overflowed with tourists and locals. As the car drove to adjust to the speed of Country X traffic. Joaquin enjoyed the joyful atmosphere that Country X had. Blonde-haired foreigners stop every two minutes to take pictures.

The black-haired locals watched them with awe before they went up to them. Joaquin observed all of this with a calm yet alert mind.

"Young Master, would you like to go to a restaurant to eat?" Adam asked.

Joaquin shook his head, "No… Go straight to Mystic Isle. I already ate and he," he pointed in Calyx's direction. "Can go hungry, a day or two." He huffed.

Adam nodded. "Okay, Young Master."

Calyx let out a low chuckle but did not say anything. Joaquin gave him a sidelong glance… well it was not like he could.

As the car drove more into the island of Country X, the beautiful blue sea disappeared behind the tall skyscrapers that were made of glass. Joaquin was not interested in anything so he kept his gaze on his phone. Then, the car came to a slow stop.

"Ah… Mystic Isle." Joaquin grinned, looking at the sign that was held up by an iron arch. His purple eyes glowed in excitement. Finally, some drama… I was getting tired of that old hag home anyway.

"Young Master, we have arrived," Adam announced.

Joaquin nodded, "I'm not blind. I can see!"

Adam froze before he coughed lightly, "Yes, Young Master."

"Anyways," Joaquin started. "Go. I need to see the school."

Adam followed his command and drove into the small primate city of Country X.

"Such a lovely place," Joaquin tapped his long thin index finger on the glass of his window. "With such disgusting people within." Joaquin sneered.

"Young Master," Calyx called. Joaquin turned to him slowly, his purple eyes held a scary glint. "Do… you want to die?" Joaquin asked slowly and Calyx stayed silent.

"Good boy!" Joaquin clapped before moving his purple eyes back to the window to look outside, watching the population of this small primate city named Mystic Isle. Feeling bored, Joaquin looked down at his phone, enjoying another TikTok video.

Calyx sighed.

"Young Master, we are here." Adam's voice broke the tension in the air. Joaquin lazily looked up, seeing the magnificent building in front of him. He smirked, opening the door, he exited the car and took a deep breath.

He casually lifted his hands and pulled his sunglasses down onto his face, blocking the sunlight from entering and irritating his eyes. "Calyx," he called.

"Young Master?" Calyx came behind Joaquin in a flash.

"Get my luggage, we move off here." Joaquin tucked his hands in his jeans pocket lazily.

Calyx nodded, "Yes, Young Master."

Joaquin turned… and the result was his face being in Calyx's chest. His hair practically raised in anger.

"Damn it!" Joaquin cursed lowly.

"Young Master?" Calyx looked down at the fluffy light light-coloured hair that shone in the sunlight.

"Don't stand so close to me next time," Joaquin gritted and Calyx nodded.

"Okay, Young Master." Calyx stepped back.

"Now my luggage," Joaquin clicked his tongue.

Calyx nodded, "Yes, Young Master. I'll go get them."

Joaquin rolled his eyes, "Who else will if you don't?" He scoffed.

Calyx merely nodded.
