1 Chapter 1: Bodyguard

Being in a Yakuza family, honestly isn't scary. The kills, the training, the drugs, the women, the guns, the cars… All of this would be missed if I wasn't in it. However, having to be the heir of the strongest Yakuza family in Japan, last named Jigoku, it's quite troublesome I say…

Tsk…

"Joaquin!" The name of the lackadaisical male was called. He sat with a slump on the red sofa opposite his father who was seated at his desk watching the male with a stern face.

"Father…" Joaquin drawled, his purple eyes raising lazily to look at his father, "How have I upset you this early Asa?" Lazily turning his gaze away, he looked at his black-painted nails.

Abruptly, a stone statue of a mermaid was thrown in his direction and Joaquin lazily leaned to the side avoiding the statue from hitting him. As the statue passed near the side of his head, Joaquin yawned, glancing up from his hand to his father, hearing the mermaid statue crash loudly into the wooden floor, breaking into many pieces. Not startled by the sound nor throw, Joaquin look at the man opposite him, his similar purple-colored eyes watching him sharply.

"Call me, boss!" The man looking in his early thirties snarled, his blond brows raising in anger.

Joaquin smirked, "Oh…?" He leaned forward interested.

The man snorted, "Anyways." He stood, "I've called you here, as you are of sixteen years of age, to meet your personal, bodyguard."

"Bodyguard?" Joaquin frowned his lips in a sneer.

With his hands behind his back, the man walked to the ceiling-to-floor glass window, looking out at the large garden below his office, "Yes."

Joaquin's lips twitched, "I can protect myself, why do I need a bodyguard?"

"Because you will be attending a private high school to meet your fiancée." The blonde man stated.

Joaquin scowled, "Because of that, I need a bodyguard?" He snorted in disbelief.

"Yes," The man grinned sinisterly, turning he watched his eldest son. The best tool, he has in his possession.

Joaquin rolled his eyes, standing from his seat, raking a hand through his butter-coloured locks, he shrugged on his leather jacket, "Where is he?"

The man grinned, his purple eyes watching behind his son. "Behind you."

Joaquin froze, "What?" He swung around, his eyes wide as he looked at the male who stood two meters away from him.

"Eldest shishou," The male bowed, "It is my, your servant's honour to meet you."

"H-How?" Joaquin stuttered, his purple eyes shaking with fright as he slowly backed away, not understanding how the male sneaked up on him. How? I can sense people meters away! Who is this monster?! Joaquin gulped, looking at the bodyguard with narrowed suspicious eyes.

"Don't worry, son." His father's voice was heard, "He is loyal."

Joaquin frowned, "How is he so skillful? I didn't even sense his presence!"

"Amazing creature he is," his father muttered.

Joaquin huffed, his eyes narrowed on the male who watched him with that blank stare and a light smile. "Is he human?"

His father snorted, "Of course, he is!" Walking up to the bodyguard, he grinned. "I just trained him, since he was a mere toddler. So, he is bound to be unmatched in this dark world."

Joaquin tucked his hands in his jeans pocket, "A toddler?"

"Yes," his father laughed madly as his eyes shook watching the bodyguard's face. "Take care of my son!"

The bodyguard bowed, "Yes Boss!"

"Good." His father smiled satisfied, "Now, leave my office and send, Lori if you see her."

Joaquin nodded and left his father's office. As he passed his newly hired bodyguard, he was surprised to note that he. was. taller!

Furious, Joaquin almost fainted as the anger made his face red. "You!" Joaquin pointed at the bodyguard when they exited his father's office, his purple eyes ablaze with dark anger and dangerous envy.

"Yes, Young Master?" The bodyguard watched him silently. Joaquin looked at the bodyguard, his hair was in a buzz cut with most of his hair at the front looking curly. With his slightly tanned skin, his sapphire eyes shone like a gem on his face, and with his long nose and red lips that were curled into that smile, Joaquin's eyes twitched. This face will make girls go crazy. Joaquin thought then narrowed his eyes.

"How are you, so hateful?!" Joaquin groaned, glaring at the bodyguard.

The bodyguard blinked calmly. Joaquin sighed, rubbing his hand down his face before walking away from the cold male. Soon, Joaquin frowned, not hearing any footsteps, he turned around, ready to yell at the male. When his face slammed into the chest of his new bodyguard.

Joaquin's lip twitched, "Why do I bother?"

"Young Master?" The bodyguard uttered silently in question.

Joaquin glowered, "What is your name?"

"Calyx," The bodyguard muttered.

Joaquin rolled his eyes, "Just great!" Joaquin grit his teeth.

Walking back to his room, he pushed the slide door open, entering the large room, he yawned before heading to his bed and dropping on it.

"This is my room," Joaquin muttered. "Make yourself comfortable."

Hearing no noise, Joaquin opened his eyes. Seeing the male in his suit just standing by the door, as his sapphire-colored eyes roamed the room, Joaquin frowned.

"Something wrong?" Joaquin asked.

Calix's eyes turned to him, "No… It's my first time seeing the sunlight."

Joaquin raised a brow, then he hummed, "Interesting."

"Anyways, tomorrow we set off to Mystic Isle to see this so-called fiancée of mine," Joaquin tsked.

"What should I do then, Young Master?" Calix asked.

"Start packing my clothes, obviously." Came Joaquin's cocky voice filled with arrogance.

Calyx looked around the room, "Young Master."

Joaquin's lilac eyes watched his new bodyguard with a twitch from his eyebrow, "You really don't know where the suitcases are?"

Calyx looked at him motionlessly, "I was informed that I just needed to protect Young Master not pack his clothes."

Joaquin sent him a sidelong glance, "Rebelling?"

Calyx shook his head, "No Young Master, I am fulfilling my duties."

Joaquin grinned, "Aren't I your master?"

Calyx frowned but nodded.

"Then," Joaquin drawled, "You should follow my instructions."

"What does Young Master want me to do?" Calyx inquired.

Joaquin simply closed his eyes, "Pack my clothes."

Calyx's eyebrows twitched but then his lips straightened into line. "Okay, Young Master."

"Good boy," Joaquin grinned with his eyes closed.
