14 On to the next adventure

Nest nervously sits across from the mysterious woman. As he speaks, his voice starts shaking.

"Oh, what's up, owl? What are you doing here, hehe?"

Nest chuckles nervously, owl, with a cold tone, answers Nest's question.

"I'm doing terrible thanks to you fucking up. Not only did you get caught, but some valuable children we could have used for our operations are either dead or safely under police protection with their parents. You're a pathetic excuse for a human being. You might be fast physically, but mentally, you are slower than a snail. I knew we should have sent a feared legend instead of you."

As those cold and belittling words come from the owl's mouth, Nest starts to tear up.

"Please, owl, I'm sorry I failed you; it's just some damn kids."

"Kids!! You're telling me you failed this badly because of some damn kids."

"Wait, no, no, no." I think you misheard me. I...I meant...that it was... because."

Owl gives Nest a cold stare.

"Nest your stuttering; do I need to fix something in that brain of yours?"

"No, no, no, I'm fine; it's just that I—"

"Just shut up before I get more pissed than I already am."

"Oh, um, I'm so sorry."

"I don't want your apology. Thanks to you, they started looking into the kidnappings in the other three zones more intensely, but lucky for me, we pulled out our troops before they could get caught."

"Oh, that's great. I'm happy to hear it, hehe."

"Yeah, no thanks to you, you damn fuck up, but now that's out of the way, it's time to wrap this up."

"Oh, Owl, are you going to help me get out of here? In that case, we should grab Burgus too; we are both great assets to you."

"Yeah, that's what you think. You should know by now that you're not that important."

Nest's face becomes filled with nervousness and shock.

"Wait, Owl, I promise I won't fail you again."

Owl starts glowing intensely and says:

"When were you born again?" September 28, 1997, approximately at 2:38 a.m.

"Wait, wait, please, owl, we can still work to—"

Before Nest could beg for mercy, he suddenly vanished with no trace.

"Tch, what a pathetic sight, begging for his life."

Owl adjusts her glasses and pulls out her phone to see a text message from a person named Killer. She opens the text message, and it says "They're dead".

"I knew I could count on him to get the job done. "Now it's time to get out of here."

Outside of the integration room, Luthor is sitting on a chair next to the room while kicking his foot impatiently.

"What the hell are that woman and that kidnapper talking about? I have a bad feeling about this; maybe I should just go and check."

Luthor goes to grab the integration room's door knob. Before he could grab the doorknob, suddenly the door burst open, causing Luthor to fall to the ground.

"What the hell? The door just opened out of nowhere."

Luthor gets up to look inside the integration room.

"Wait, what the hell? Where the hell are they? Wait, that woman—was she some type of undercover agent? Damn it, I have to figure this out now."

As Luthor stresses over the situation he's in, his phone starts to ring. He looks at his phone and sees a phone call from one of his men.

"Hello, this is a really bad time; our prisoner just disa—"

"Luthor!!! " This is terrible; all the men we arrested from the kidnapping case, including the nine-foot-tall burgus,"

As Luthor's subordinate speaks, his body starts to tremble.

"They're all dead, Luthor!" all of them died from one bullet to the head. Not a single one was left alive."

Luthor, with a face full of shock, calmly says:

"what? How could something like that happen?"

"I don't know, sir; one minute they were alive and the next they were all dead."

"..."

Luthor stands silently, listening to his subordinate's response with a face of complete defeat. As Luthor stands silently, he starts to think to himself.

"How, just how, could this have happened? Not only are Nest and that strange woman gone without a trace, but the rest of the men we were going to integrate are dead. What the hell am I supposed to do now?"

"Luthor, sir, please give me an order; the entire Grava police department is in panic."

Luthor, hearing his subordinate's words, snaps back to reality. Luthor looks at the ground and sees the ID Owl showed him earlier.

"Ok, no time to think about it now!" I'm about to send you a picture of a strange woman. Tell all of the men to search all of Grava City for this woman."

"Yes sir!!"

Luthor hangs up the phone and falls to his knees. Luthor takes his phone and throws it on the ground in anger.

"This case might be a part of something way bigger, and I'm afraid the world might not be ready for what's to come."

The police searched all day and night but found nothing.

The next day at Grava Academy, on a sunny day, all six students in class one are sitting in class listening to Mr.Mink lecture them on the Level One technique.

"Ok, class, we were very lucky that both Kage and Unknown introduced us to two out of four level-one techniques."

After hearing Mr. Minks's statement, Kage says to Unknown:

"You heard that he's basically saying we're the best students he has."

"Hehe, yeah, keep telling yourself that, Kage."

"I'm serious."

"Kage and Unknown, please don't talk while I'm teaching, or there will be conscious."

Both Kage and Unknown Simotansley say:

"Sorry, Mr.Mink!!"

"Whatever, now back to what I'm saying. There are four level-one techniques: flex, accelerate, sense, and recover. All of these techniques are very simple to learn but extremely hard to master, but if you can manage to master them, it will separate you from other OGI users. Now to go over the techniques. Flex is a technique where you focus on pushing OGI into your muscles for more strength and durability. Accelerate is a technique where you focus on pushing OGI into your legs for extra speed. This is the easiest technique to learn and is probably the most useful in any situation.

Mr.Mink presses a button under his desk, and the board behind him turns into a TV. The TV turns on, and a diagram of the OGI flow of each level one technique appears.

"Now, class, it's time to go over the other level one techniques.  The third-level one technique is sense. This is a technique where you either focus your OGI into your ears, mouth, skin, eyes, or nose. Yes, as you guessed, this technique is about your five senses, which can be useful when you need to find something from afar. If you ever can't use one sense, you can push one of your other senses to become more powerful."

Selena raises her hand, and Mr.Mink says:

"Yes, Selena, you have a question."

"Yes, I would like to know how sensing with your skin would work."

"Oh, good question. It's simple; with your skin, you can feel things like the direction of the wind, which can be useful if you need to find a sneaky enemy or you need to find your way out of lets say a cave."

"Ok, I got it. I'll make sure to remember that."

"ok good I love to see how interested you are in the lesson. Keep doing what you're doing. Now the last level one technique and the hardest technique to master is recover. With this technique, you focus on pushing OGI through your heart and lungs. When you do this, you can slowly heal any injury you sustain in battle or from natural causes. This is a very useful technique, but not many OGI users have mastered it due to its difficulty in learning. Also, one thing you must know about the recover technique is that if you push too much OGI or make a mistake while pushing OGI into your heart, you could cut your energy in half or, even worse, kill yourself. So you all be careful out there!"

As Mr.Mink finishes his sentence, Unknown remarks.

"Wow, he really just said that like it's nothing."

"Class, that's it for today. I hope you learned a lot from that lesson. Now for the homework: I want you all to train on your level-one techniques and, in the future, show me your improvements. Now class is dismissed."

Wayne, from the front of the classroom, raises his hand.

"Yes, Wayne, you have something to ask."

"Yes, sir, I would like to take a leave from class for a while."

"Umm, ok, may I ask why?"

"My pop's birthday is coming up, and I need to go see him. Please, I ask you to let me go back to the Moro zone for his birthday."

"Oh right, you are from the Moro zone, Wayne. Ok, I'll let you take a few days off of class, but I ask that you take Kage and Unknown with you."

As Mr.Mink makes this statement, both Kage and Unknown flinch in shock.

"Yes, I would appreciate it if you took them with you. I heard recently that these two fought for their lives to save some children, so what better way to reward them with an adventure in a zone they had never seen before?"

"Oh, in that case, sure, I would love to take them with me; I'm sure it will be fun!"

Both Kage and Unknown look at each other and shrug their shoulders.

"well, Unknown I guess we're going to the Moro zone."

"Yeah, I know I'm so excited; I've never been to the Moro zone before."

"Yeah, me neither you think we're going to see a lot of beasts."

"I hope so."

"yeah!!! So Wayne, when are we leaving?"

"We will leave in two days."

"Yes, this should be fun."

Kage and Unknown, with a smile on both of their faces, give each other a friendly fist bump.
