8 Li Chan and Rune Alchemy

More than a year ago Meng Hao went to the Blue Cloud Forest to search for some herbs, and while picking a herb he noticed an unconscious man under a tree.

When he checked the man he discovered that the man was seriously injured, after some thought he decided to help him and feed him some healing pills that he was carrying.

After awhile the man regained Consciousness, and thanked Meng Hao for his help.

Although the pill help in healing some of his injuries but injury the man suffered affected his foundation and has caused him to lose most of his Cultivation level.

Seeing the man looking sad, Meng Hao who has noticed the extent of the injury and had a way of helping him to heal his injured foundation decided to help him out, but the man must agree to a condition.

"The condition was for the man to become his follower".

For sometimes now Meng Hao has been thinking of getting a follower who he can send to do things for him instead of doing must things himself, and when he saw the man condition he decided if the man agrees he will heal him and make him his follower.

When the man heard Meng Hao condition he agreed immediately, infact the man has already thought he will die from his injuries hearing that Meng Hao has ways of healing him, he completely agreed.

Meng Hao is giving him a mysterious feeling which shows that he is not a simple person and by following Meng Hao, he might have a chance for revenge.

So after Meng Hao finish his business in the blue cloud forest he brought the man home, this man is Li Chan.

A year has passed since then and Li Chan has completely healed from the injury he sustained and is currently regaining his Cultivation level.

Li Chan was in the Spirit Origin Realm before he was injured and his Cultivation level regressed, but is now at the Peak Spirit Soul Realm.

Meng Hao has been looking for materials to refine a particular pill to enable him break back into the Spirit Origin Realm, but was lacking a particular material so about a week ago he asked Li Chan to go to the Prefecture City and even if possible go to other nearby Prefectures to search for the material.

After returning to his courtyard Li Chan took out a glass bottle with a snow white color liquid inside, the liquid inside is known as the Soul Nourishing Liquor, receiving it Meng Hao open the cover and smelled it and nodded, this is the last material he needed.

Seeing Meng Hao nodding Li Chan said

"Young Master while I was looking for the Soul Nourishing Liquor, I heard a news that the "Longevity Valley", will open in a month time".

Hearing this Meng Hao nodded and replied

" That's good, I guess we will go there after leaving here".

" My Father received a letter from the Prefecture Meng Clan that a delegation will be visiting in seven days and a banquet will be held to welcome them, with their support Meng Ye is planning to force my father to give up his position as the County Governor during the banquet",

He continued.

Upon hearing this Li Chan became angry and said

" Is like this Meng Ye doesn't know his place, Young Master do you need to do anything?".

" Don't worry father will handle it, just prepare after the banquet we will be leaving", Meng Hao replied.

Over the years, using his talent Meng Hao have gathered many wonderful things from opening secret boxes and one of them is a book with the title "Rune Alchemy".

Normally Spirit Rune Masters are different from Pill Masters, although there are people who engage in both it is very rare.

Usually refining Pills needs a Pill Cauldron but using the method in the book one can refine Pills without the normal Pill Cauldron.

Meng Hao has been learning Spirit Runes from his father since he was young so seeing that method he was happy, but the method is much more demanding that traditional Pill Refinement.

In the method a Spirit Rune Master will need to create Spirit Runes and form Cauldron shaped Spiritual Array, in normal Pill Refinement a Pill Master usually only need to focus most of his Soul Power inside the Pill Cauldron to monitor the process of Pill Refinement and Pill Formation.

But the Rune Alchemy will require one to focus on maintaining the Spiritual Array and also monitor the process of Pill Refinement and Pill Formation, so in this way the demand for Soul Power is greater that traditional Pill Refinement. But to Meng Hao this is not a problem at all.

The Pill Meng Hao wants to refine is known as the Divine Transformation Pill, although there are other Pills that can help Li Chan recover his Cultivation level but Meng Hao choose this Pill because apart from helping Li Chan to recover his Cultivation level it will also improve his talent.

Because he didn't want his first follower to remain at the Spirit Origin Realm.

With a thought a few boxes appeared infront of Meng Hao, these boxes contains the other materials he has collected.

Meng Hao raised up his left hand and started writing Spirit Runes in the air infront of him, seeing this Li Chan showed a reverence look and moved to the side in order not to disturb him and he is also ready to stop anybody from disturbing Meng Hao.

After a few minutes Meng Hao has written over 100 Runes shouted "Combine" with that the Runes started coming together and form a Cauldron flooting in his front, unlike normal Pill Refinement that need an Pill Master To have a Flame, but in Rune Alchemy there is a particular Rune in the Array that will generate Flame, if one want to increase the heat one need to just increase the amount of Soul Power been used.

The Divine Transformation Pill needs about over ten supporting materials and three main materials.

Meng Hao first started by refining the supporting materials and after the impurities have been removed he added one of the main material,

A Thousand Years Blood Ginseng, after a few minutes he added a drop of the Soul Nourishing Liquor and then final the last material the Dragon Grass.

After awhile he started the Pill Formation process at this time he became more concentrated, after a few minutes there was a "Puff" sound and then came a burning smell, he gently shake his head knowing that his first attempt has failed he did not re-try immediately but went through the Refining process in his mind.

He only gathered three sets of materials so he must succeed in the next two refinement.
