Ocular Menace: Misadventures of a Man with many Eyes

Johnathan Reed had just finished celebrating his 18 birthday, when like any self-respecting novel protagonist, died to the hands of Truck-Kun. He laments in his last moments the fact he never made it past 24 hours of adulthood, and should have looked before crossing the road. Next thing he knows he's in a old medieval style house. After successfully running away from the house, and whatever problems might come from meeting people, he's in the middle of nowhere until he hears the classic *Ding* any gamer would be familiar with. The Art Is Not Mine. If you are the owner of the art and want it down. let me know and I'll oblige. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --Do I have you interested? please do let me know of any feedback you have, as again, this is solely for my own enjoyment and to improve my literary skills. I'm the only person proofreading this, and the grammar is probably killing you, so just bear with me, because English was never my best subject Also my jokes could be unfunny, let me know. Also I will do my best for compelling characters, but again first time writing. so stuff like romance might flop and be underwhelming for people and is probably gonna be a side bit, not the main focus and later on.

Due to his high intelligence and enhanced eyes, his brain and eyes are seeing faster than his body can move, so he has a slow motion effect while he fights. This advantage will basically eliminate his inexperience in fighting by allowing him more time to think.

While the man lunges forward, Jonathan's eyes change colors to yellow as he summon a Thunder sword, and shoots lighting bolts at the man.

The man's eyes instantly shows horror when he sees the lighting sword appear, and he desperately tries to avoid the lighting. However he fails, and as soon as the lighting hits, he falls over and starts twitching on the floor.

"Man who could have know that these eyes did that as well. The more you know I guess." Johnathan is ecstatic with the fact his opponents move slowly against him.

While the carriage driver tries to run away from Johnathan he then gets struck by a small lighting arrow. He then falls face first into the dirt.

After the quick skirmish, he decides there going to be no lose ends, and then cuts the head of the man who attacked him head off clean with a wind blade, in a guillotine like fashion, he then does the same to the coachman.

He then proceeded to enter the carriage, where he finds a beautiful woman chained up with sizable assets that would make any man happy, and clothed in rags, but the rags covers everything it needs to. But Johnathan was not the type of man we would call a "simp" as he then proceeds to slap her awake. Afterwards he could just heal her, so he didn't really care.

"W-what? who are you? why are you here and what have you done with me? Why does my face sting?" The woman asks

"How about you tell me who you are first, and why your here, then i'l tell you who I am. okay?" Johnathan says it like a question, but the woman knows it's a order.

"I am Ruby, the third princess of the Ragnian empi-"

"Pfft" Johnathan starts to laugh uncontrollably "I'm calling your bullshit, what, do Princesses grow on trees?"

"HOW DARE YOU!!!" Ruby starts screaming indignantly, clearly upset with the joke. "JUST BECAUSE I'M CHAINED TO A WALL AND IN RAGS DOES NOT MAKE US GROW ON TREE!!!"

"Ah c'mon this is so cliche, anyways, got identification on you or anything to prove your claims?" Johnathan asks while looking around inside the carriage.

On the necklace, Count Brad's men took my necklace with the royal emblem on it, that should be enough to prove my identity." She said, while pulling against her chains slightly.

"Of course the first people I fight are probably chain villains, figures." John thinks this to himself as goes to the corpse somewhat dejectedly as he ponders if this was worth it or not. He then finds the necklace she was talking about in his right pants pocket.

After giving the necklace back to Ruby, he then asks the important questions."So, what's a princess doing here, in the middle of nowhere chained to a wall in a carriage?" He asked, with the curiosity in his voice clear.

She sighs "I failed the get the thrown, and my brother had me exiled, so after a week's worth of travel, he we are. I was probably going to be given to a slave merchant upon arrival, just to make some extra coin." She says this like it doesn't bother her, but Jonathan can clearly see the fear in her eyes.

"Well then Princesses want to tag along with me? Johnathan asks
