1 Dedication and folklore/history

For future creators and writers. Never hesitate to start over and take your time. Rushing has never accomplished anything. True arts come from the hands of those who give it their best. Even if it takes you one hundred years. Trust me, heart and soul is everything when it comes to writing.

This is the official rewrite of "Crown of our metchy". Many characters and places have been replaced since that story was first written on paper more than six years ago and upload to this platform as my first novel. Then I was highly disappointed with it after two rereads. The story felt rushed and very boring. That's why I'm writing this official new series based off of my old writings. I truly hope that you will give me feedback! Thank you for your support. 💕

Royalleaves:

The Royalleaves are groups of people who are said to have a closer connection to nature and it's elements. Each generation, if the eclipse brings good fortune, two girls are chosen from a family with Royalleaf blood ties to compete for the young princes' hand in marriage. These people think of themselves as savors even though they are guilty in bloodshed even though they don't admit it any excuse their actions on "Doing the good of their kind" even though it's a complete lie.

Guardians:

Guardians are immortal beasts who are assigned to each royalleaf family. More particularly, the female who has to compete for the prince's hand. Each animal has it's own perks. The more powerful the Guardian, the better chance of winning the likes of the kingdom.

Kingdoms:

There are 10 kingdoms. The locations as follow America, Russia, Africa, Jamaica, England, India, Brazil, New Zealand, Canada, and China. No female exchange may compete for her own country's kingdom. It has been talk of lost kingdoms that were destroyed in the first battle.

The first battle:

This battle was the first between the kingdoms and Fireleaves. The battle took out a few kingdoms who joined in but they were wiped out of history with time(More than a thousand years). The story is told to every Royalleaf in hopes that a second battle doesn't come to be.

Fireleaves:

Humans and hybrids who know of the existence of Royalleaves and crave to have them destroyed out of anger and grief from the death of their innocence relatives at the hands of royalleaves . They also call themselves the "Silent crowd" like the way that they attack. They disappeared for 865 years after the first battle, only appearing to show their strength and want to revenge. Fireleaves are also known for their love for science and academics that gives them an advantage.

Thornleaves: The term used for humans. Some of them had become allies for Royalleaves in the past.

Female Exchange roles:

Female Exchange was a way of keeping the peace between the kingdoms in the dawn of them. It is a such thing as a male exchange when two royal firstborn princesses are born in the same generation. The roles of a female exchange are to become competitive, learn proper appreciation, and gain the royal kingdom's respect.

Guardian statues:

When a guardian is forced to retire, they become statues, vessels of power that are placed within the home of the family in which they offered their services. They can speak to anyone whom they wish in this form.

The three deities:

In Royalleaf folklore, there are three deities who give powers to guardians and royals in high positions. Sun, moon, and shadow. Sun guards over those who bring forth freedom of speech, fighters of honor, and the open-minded. She gains power from the sun. Moon is the one who prefers peace and the gentle-hearted ones, filling the weary hearted with courage. She only walks upon the stars at night. Shadow walks with those who cower in the shadows and lays with the underdogs and those who pass on. He even lends help to those who aren't Royalleaves.

Moonstone: A oddly shaped transparent stone in the mountains of Blackdown held by a keeper. The stone holds all the power to the Royalleaves power. It's impossible to know where it is hidden in the death mountains because everyone who attempted to retrieve it either went missing or came back in a state of insanity.

Powers🍃🌸

Animal Telepathy: The power to control animals by reading their minds and intercepting with their thoughts. This power is regarded as just a side ability. This power can help the user by being able to speak and manipulate the beast into using their strengths for the good of themselves. This also means they can control other guardians at will. Most of all Royalleaves can do this trick.

Electricity: This ability can come at different levels. The lowest level can do damage to an enemy by stunning them for less than ten minutes, while medium can grant enough power to recharge a battery and the highest or advanced can break through solid materials such as metal, wood, or copper.

Illusion: This technique isn't a learned ability but most of the time, one that is inherited from members of a selected royalleaf family. This powers offers the user the ability to change form and appearance for a short period of time.

Truth hunter: Almost every royalleafs greatest fear is to lie in the same room as a truth hunter. These extraordinary royals have the power to make others tell the truth and give information just by asking them a question, making it impossible for them to lie or cover-up the truth.

Invincible: This power may sound great but it is actually more common than any other power. This power doesn't mean that the possessor can not die but it means that they can't feel the worst of pain inflicted on them. This misleading title was given to them by themselves so that when their title is told to by humans, they might think twice about attacking.

Human telepathic: This person can enter the dreams of the sleeping. This power lends royal leaves the power to make others change their perspectives and yes- compel them to make fools of themselves.

Healing: The strength of healing wounds of people, both Royalleaf and humans. They tend to be quite peaceful people but amazing fights, since they are more closer to nature than the other powers. Healing powers are very rare.

"So you know the basics of our belief. Come, sit, and hear a tale that has stood with us for generations. Thank you, for walking down this path of memories with me. The sweet foggy tales of my old friends who passed but their firey power never disappeared within the elder's hearts. We are not perfect but this tradition and this life is what we live for. Even when we die, our legacy never fades. By sun, moon, and shadow, we will uphold the peace until forever is no more."

This book is intended for all audiences. Its may contain minor swearing, crude humor and some blood. The chapters that contain this will start with a clear warning. If this bothers you please skip to the next chapter where it will contain a brief description of what occurred in the previous chapter. These parts will not be for audiences under thirteen, so when these warnings are presented, young leaves clear out. As a writer, I do not like unnecessary killing and death, so that will be rarely present. I believe in my characters teaching valuable lessons and having a demeanor that fits each one.
