48: The Sneaky Princess

Lara gave out a conflicted sigh. Her curiosity about seeing the old room and her promise to her father is tearing her up. 

The vow she made when she was a child is like an anchor- stopping her from doing what she wants. 

Although she doesn't want to give it up. Her decision will someday taint her relationship with her father, which is a consequence- Lara's not sure that she's willing to pay. 

The cost is great, and she fears she's making a big mistake. Knowing her broken vow will greatly disappoint her father. Lara- however- persisted on. Since the thirst to see what's on the other side of the door is bigger than her fears. 

Lara stared outside her window. The first dream she had with the locked room wasn't real. But she considered every second she spent in that dream and memorized it by heart.
