Cedric closed the car door for her and stood there, watching her leave as the car drove away. He smiled; Lara smiled back. They will see each other again tomorrow. The investigation still needs a lot of work, and they'll start early tomorrow morning.

Passing by the city streets where people- vampires are leisurely walking and enjoying themselves made Lara feel wistful all of a sudden. The buildings were still the same, traditional, even the stores look the same as she remembered them. It's like she's stuck in the middle ages. However, the buildings looked well maintained, they even remodeled some through the years, but the traditional medieval look was still there.
