Yuri & Denise
Every one including Violet are now chit chatting with each other, like Dan, Lena, Jax, Eco who gave up when he saw Yuri running after the escort outside the reception hall. After the introductory welcome from the DOGS Academy Head who is Eco Amber, some DOGS Flighetrs gave a dance presentation to the tune of Walk Like an Egyptian. Since it is a costume party for the garduates with Egyptian Theme, everyone are wearing gowns and tuxedos with masks or some are pharaohs, queens and kings or skas, priests, priestesses or gods like Anubis, Wepwawet, Khons, Ra. etc. and or harems. Violet wore a costume of Cleopatra, Dan is just a random pharoah, Lena is a priestess, Yuri is Ramses, Governor Pache is a Ska or Egyptian Zombie, Jax, Menace, Lloyd, Slash and Mirel are Egyptian soldiers with their respective weapons or arms such as swords, bow & arrow, etc. Ericka and Dunea are Egyptian village girls, Ren and Hayley are princesses, Akhmed and Yogi are Egyptian village boys, and many more. Aoi and Kaori are scientists just like Ptolemy and other famous scribes in ancient Egypt.
It is a fun event and everyone is having a good time. Hey, here's a drink, want some cake?, Yuri asked Denise/Tina while he is walking towards the girl seated under the bright yellow gold moon in the school's veranda.
Ah, yeah, thanks! I ate some fish and chips earlier, haha, so I'm good but did they had these in the ancient times?, Denise/Tina said laughing. She accepted the wine and cake, besides strawberry chiffon cake is her favorite and won't let the night pass without tasting the ever famous Coconatean Chiffon Cakes of Japan which has been popularly distributed all through out the universe now.
Huh? But yeah? I guess it is famous now. Why are you here? Not enjoying the party or maybe your date?, Yuri said looking at me straight in the eyes though I'm not sure if those are his eyes since it's pretty dark here and the only lights in the area were coming from the full moon and the academy's veranda lamps metal posts that stood at about 50 feet or more high if I'm not mistaken. These are automatic lights which turn off when daylight comes and turn on when night time emerges. Cool, huh! Every district has these all through-out Majarlica even under the sea or on Air, Sky and most especially on Ground Zero level where it's pitch dark and smokes some of the districts entirely due to mining fields and factories.
Though on Sky and Mid or Air levels, lamps are far more sophisticated like hanging on air, they need to be far more efficient and brighter since Air and Sky need strong and conjusive lights especially during nights and at dawn where planes and flying cars or vehicles run or travel by night which is dark and can be dangerous. Air traffic control is strict and no person, huert or ospian is allowed to ride or loiter around public air or sky ways and air transits, moreover drunks or person with disability needs to have companions on flight or ride. There are no exemptions to rules and the law says it that if one is caught drinking or using gadgets while driving or flying then had an accident it's called out as deliberate offense. Traffic offenders are caught immediately since DGTV are all over Ground, Air and Sky levels. Those who are guilty of offending air traffic will be detained in prison for a while until proven innocent. If not, the offender will pay for moral, car or ship damages, etc. if found guilty and the like.
Anyway, back to my enchanting night with Duke Yuri! Aha, so, he wants to talk, well, I'm all ears honey! I didn't think an aristocrat will see me as this beauty and talk with me. I'm just an ordinary girl from the Bronx anyway. Yuri didn't hold back and talked about his life to me. He proudly chatted about his Omega planet and wow! he is filthy rich and powerful but somehow changed. I heard from rumors that he was once feared and was a bad ass like two years ago, but since that incident that happened at his birthday party. He changed but in a good way. Now he seemed passive and nice. But he is still handsome, strong and powerful by looking at his stance and proud air. He is still that Duke that all fear yet in a subtle way. This time, he is not angry or hateful but kind and merciful. I am so sure of myself that I know what to say but when ever he looks at me like he is this shy boy who wanted to tell me something other than praises that I am pretty or has a smooth hair. I think Yuri just wants to be listened and talked to. Haaa…I wanted to kiss him and just hold him like a mom who wants to protect her son or what. Is that weird? Maybe not a son but his lover, or girl. I guess I'm just acting silly, selfish, that I want all his attention only focused on me and no one else! HIhi! I know he is the richest and fearsome man in the universe but how come I feel like he is this kid who just wants to be seen and loved by maybe, who knows…me?, Denise/Tina thought and when Yuri didn't hear me replying to his question about what movie I like to watch, he fell silent.
