Vlad & Dreams
My eyes are beams of light. I am floating in the air and have tremendous power that I can make the world upside down. I am defying gravity and now have control over the universe. I don't know what happened, it's like I have been asleep for hundreds of years and now that I am awake I have no choice but to do what I am destined to do. War, poverty, injustice and greed had been monopolizing and corrupting the world. Majority of the people on earth are unjustly poor, mistreated, discriminated, bullied, harassed or killed. So, the rich, powerful or greedy thought they can live or stay as is forever. The reckoning has come. Now is the time for a transformation and no one can stop it from happening. I see you!
Haaa…haa.!!!! what the !!!....., where am I?, Ericka said waking up from the scary and strange dream. She remembered about Ren's birthday, laughed and slept back in. Ren is sleeping beside her and the girl invited her to sleepover when she volunteered to drive her home. Renaldo, Vlad and the maids rode in the Limo. Prise drove Sarah home I bet since mom stayed at home. I also remembered that we helped mom clean up after the party and we were all exhausted afterwards. Tomorrow is a weekend and I don't have a shift at the café anyway so I smelled Ren's sweet and fruity room, covers and sultry hair right in front of me which sends a calming and homey feeling that I want to stay with Ren like this forever.
Vlad….baby! Where are you?..., a middle aged woman called for the boy who is about seven or eight years old who came in the room running like he is racing against time.
Mama, what is it?, Vlad said and smiling at her mom's side. Cough….cough!, I want you to check on a book for me and there you will see a box which can help you to hail for a cab and go to Mr. Renaldo Galatea Sr.. He is a good man and a close friend of your father. Okay!
Mama, okay! But why? I want to be with you and I can help you with work!, Vlad said now crying. Vlad's mother is a a chamber maid and help run a hotel in the suburb. Here she is in charge of the pressing and ironing of clothes and sheets of customers. Since it's in the new era, pressing clothes, sheets or covers aren't too difficult anymore. Vlad's mother just need to touch a button and a long and winding hanger moves down to upwards with all the customers shirts, pants, jackets, cardigans, sheets and all. They are pressed in a machine which when every clothing or sheet comes out, they are already ready to wear. Stella, Vlad's mother, which people call her in the hotel, is a kind and hardworking employee. The hotel manager helped Stella and Vlad to the best of his ability but since he resigned, the mother and child needed to leave. Stella is really sick and Vlad needs to have a family to help him this time. That's why she led her to the Galatea's and ever since, Renaldo Sr., Ren's grandfather adopted Vlad when he was ten years and had been serving, driving, escorting, the family for 50 years. He is a part of the family that Ren would choose Vlad to stay with instead of her real father because the old man is always kind and sweet to her, just like her grandfather who passed away a couple of years ago. Vlad knows Ren inside out and Ericka knew that when she asked about how her friend feels and thinks at times. Just like that day when she bumped into Ren near the Digibus shed.
There is a scene were fossilized dinosaur eggs accidentally dropped from the tray when being transported inside the resort laboratory during the night when citizens of Digi-Fifty-Four are asleep. The fossilized eggs rolled to the river and when they hit the water they egs cracked open and the tiny baby dinosaurs woke and swam under to get food. One almost scared to swim was about to be eaten by a shark but managed to drive away and eat the fish he has seen and grew one foot bigger. After each dinosaur ate a prey they grew bigger and fatter that they became scarier for other sea animals that even the whales ran away from them. They can eat whales and animals bigger than them. So when two crab-like dinosaurs came out and stood to swim to get to the river line where people are scouting and sight-seeing. Many ran away from the river side.
Haaaa…..a girl shouted loud when she saw a crab-like creature coming up from the river side where the resort is located and where some tourists on the pool are swimming and enjoying the view. A resort in Digi-Fifty-four called Pool of Wonders are always full of customers who are tourists from all walks of life and from different districts. Foreigners usually visit the place to have fun and relax since it's beside the river bed with rainforests and nature where one can savor the beauty and fresh air for free. The theme for the resort today is dinosaur and the staff wore suits of T-Rex, and all types of flesh eating creatures without a clue that they will be the prey for the real –life dinosaurs that are about to ravage Pool of Wonders. The dinosaurs smelled human flesh that's why they rose up from the river beds and as if waking up from a long slumber, maybe thousands of years ago. They opened their eyes and saw that the world is different from their age, Stone or Dinosaur age.
The staff asked the audience and visitors most especially the children to stay inside a secluded room where it is protected by a metal and glass shield that not even a canon nor explosion can break down. They are sure that dinosaurs won't be able to penetrate the shield even if they charge to break the field and the room itself.
Dr. Siri Fears called for her superiors including Renaldo Galatea who is one of the major share- holders of the resort to know what will be their next move in securing the people there who are almost 500 in total.
Renaldo immediately drove to the resort via an underground tunnel where at the end of it is the science laboratory where the scientists are developing dinosaurs inventively for ten years now.
They weren't sure how the those dinosaurs were able to escape but the main issue now is how to stop the dinosaurs from killing the other visitors who are still in the pond, pool and near the river bed.
Ren called Ericka to talk about the incident and both girls secretly drove off to the resort to help out in every way they can to save the others who didn't know what is happening until now.
