CHAPTER IV
Haisley POV
We're now in William's car, we're going to the hospital where my dad is, I hope he's awake now. I'm still mesmerized at my ring, I have my own ring, but I know it's just a props for pretending but still I have a a ring on my ring finger, I couldn't be happier.
We arrived at the hospital, and I didn't wait for William to open the door beside me, I immediately went out, and we walked in.
"Hey, slow down." William stated while behind me.
"Quick, I want to see my father." I replied.
He obeyed and we go to the stairs to climb but William stopped me.
"Is there an elevator here?" He asked.
"Nothing? Why?" I asked.
"So? we will be climbing up using this stair?" He asked back.
"Obviously yes." I answered and I heard him sighed.
"Okay, let's go." He stated then we climb up.
When we reached the floor of my father, William is a bit running out for oxygen.
"You're already tired?" I asked him.
"Yeah, how can you be not tired on that?"
"We just climb the 4-5 stairs, is all rich people like you?"
"I just don't used to climbing stairs that much."
My mom stepped out from my dad's room and she immediately hugged me.
"Haisley, I'm that you're safe, did you withdraw it?" My mom asked me then pulled away.
"Mom, the bank didn't let me to withdraw it." I said sadly, and the smile on her face slowly faded.
"How can we pay the bills here?" She asked gloomily.
"Good afternoon, Ma'am, don't worry about the bills, I will be paying for them." William answered with a smile on his face, I can see that it's a genuine smile.
"Why? and who are you?" My mom asked.
"I'm William Riles, your daughter's fiancé." He said, my mom look at me surprised, then I blush.
"What do you mean fiancé?"
"Uhmm mom, he's my fiancé." I stated then I raise my hand to let her see my ring.
"When?"
"When she was in my bank, I proposed to her. I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to meet you before." He politely stated.
"Welcome to our family. You can just call me Samantha." My mom stated. "Thank you for helping us."
"That's what are family for." He replied with a smile.
"You're father is now awake, he wants to see you, he will be happy when he know that you're now engaged." My mom stated before she left me with William.
"You're mother is so nice and so warm." William said to me and I nod my head.
"Let's go?" I said and he nod then we both walk in my father's room.
"Hello sweetie." My dad said and I suddenly feel like crying.
"Dad!" I yelled then my tears are starting to flow then I hugged my dad.
"I'm happy that you're now awake." I said to him.
"I'm happy too." He said and he looked to William. "Who is he?" He asked.
"He's William my fiancé." I answered and let him go.
"Nice to meet you sir." William politely said.
"Nice to meet you too, Son. I will welcome you to our family but in one condition." My father stated.
"What condition sir?" William asked.
"Don't hurt my daughter and just call me Jeffrey." My dad said.
"I won't hurt her, sir." He said, he sounds really genuine about it.
"The doctor said that tomorrow he can be home." My mom stated.
"Really?" I asked happily but I remember something.
"Uhmm mom, I will be moving in with William, and you both will be living in one of his house, near at the one I'm going to move in." I said.
"We can move but we still need to pay for this month." My mom said then sighed.
"I'm going to fix that don't worry, mama sam." William stated and my mom look surprised.
"No, no, there's no need, you will going to pay for the hospital bill we can't let you pay for our other bills." She stated.
"Please, let me, it's the least thing that I can do, and I'm sure if I did that my fiance will be happy." He replied and I really think that I need to thanked him a lot.
We walked out from the room of my father when he said that he need to rest but my mom doesn't want to leave my dad so she stayed in.
"Thank you so much, I know paying for our apartment isn't part of what we've talked but still thank you." I stated sincerely.
"Don't thank me, and I didn't want to pay for your apartment because of what our agreement, I want to do it because of your parents, they really seems nice and they deserves it." He asked and I hugged him because of happiness.
My eyes widened and I slowly pulled away when I realized what I've done.
"I-I'm sorry." I stated lowering my head to hide my blush from embarrassment, I was caught off guard when he pulled me into hug.
"It's okay." He stated then pulled away from the hug.
"Do you want to eat? It's already lunch now." He then asked.
"Yeah, sure I know somewhere." I stated and I head to the stairs.
"Not again." I heard him whine and I chuckled.
"Come on, don't worry it won't be tiring as climbing up." I stated and he just sighed then walk towards me.
We walked down and we stepped outside the hospital. William said that we should ride his car but I refused and said that it's not far.
"You said it's not far." William stated slightly panting.
"It's not, we're close." I stated.
"You've said that like 10 minutes ago." He whined and I rolled my eyes.
"It's too hot out here." He whined again while walking then I saw the store.
"There it is." I stated and he looked at the direction where I'm looking and his smile faded.
