1 Ch. 1 That night...

"Hey, Dan you want to come to my house today? Me and my brother are going to watch the new Sun Conflict movie!"

"Nah thanks, Johnathan I'm busy sadly, maybe next time" - said Dan then left the classroom.

"You are always so busy theese days, just what happened" murmured Johnatanin to himself.

As Dan left the devilish place called "school" he turned right and headed to a game store. The thing is, he wasn't really "busy", but Oblian Online 2 would be coming out in three years' time and he wanted to pre-order it as soon as possible. He was a fan of the first game, interesting characters, great story, and it's uniqueness. In Oblian Online 1 which was a fantasy game, there were no classes, but there were races, each with different abilities, such as vampires, void beings, or anything that you could imagine, and yes you could even play as a human, but where is the fun in that? Dan was always a vampire.

He arrived before the run-down game shop called GameIt and went in. The shelves were full of new and old games, but they had dust on them, clearly indicating that the business wasn't so successful. Nevertheless, this was the closest game shop to his house and it was already pretty far away. And he didn't want to order it online, as her mom frequently check his phone. 'God she is so annoying' came the thought. The shoppier was not the usual kind old man now, but a new guy in the 20s.

"Hey, I want to pre-order the new Oblian Online 2 game, thirty bucks isn't it?"

"Yes, and are you already eighteen years old? If not, get out" the shoppier said coldly then went back to reading on his phone.

"Hey man, I shopped here a lot of..." Dan started talking again but was interrupted again.

"Eighteen years" the shoppier said impatiently again. Dan could only sigh as he left the store. 'What the hell, I wasted my entire time for just this quick chat? That old man was much better, he never asked for these useless things such as age, maybe because his eyesight was not that good, but still. He wanted this game so bad, and he was so fed up with the adults' bullshit, he was already fourteen! He started to head home in the cold snowy night, still angry about this new guy, and the fact that this was a wasted trip, he should have just gone with Jonathan.

As he was walking on the street, he passed before an alley, but suddenly turned back. 'What have I seen?' His heart rate went up, he started breathing faster as he hastily turned back and peeked into the alley. What he saw terrified him, there were two dead bodies! This was much more gory than in games! He almost screamed and run away but at last, he controlled himself and quickly grabbed his phone to call 911 but it slipped out of his hands and was dropped on the concrete. The sound of the drop resounded in the vicinity of the silent street. As he was trying to pick up his phone he heard a quiet noise from the direction the "dead bodies".

"come here...please..." Jesus! One is still alive! He was scared out of his pants at the bloody body slowly creeping to him, so he backed away a few steps and said. "Don't worry I'm already calling the ambulance!"

"no... come here..." the woman said as she spat out more blood. "Miss, please don't move..." as he was saying this the woman's head hit the ground so he ran towards her to somehow help her. The scene was brutal. A sharp silver looking blade was in the woman's chest and the other guy was lying next to her with many wounds, already dead.

Dan slowly crouched before the woman, and he was crying, he was only fourteen for God's sake! Just what happened! He wanted to be at home, but he still stayed, he couldn't just leave behind this woman.

The woman suddenly lifted her head and pushed her palm-full of her blood into Dan's mouth. He didn't even have time to react to it as the sour taste of blood invaded his tongue, he tried spitting it out but to no avail, the woman's hand kept his mouth shut. 'She is crazy!' he thought.

"take it please! for me" the woman cried, so Dan gulped it down, as he couldn't bear the taste and the burning sensation of it anymore. Big mistake! Suddenly he felt as if his body would explode, he felt as if he was on fire, he even wanted to carve out his eyes, but fortunately, he lost his consciousness.

When he woke up, it was still in the middle of the night but the two bodies already disappeared, and he didn't feel like dying anymore. Only that silver blade remained and as he tried to touch it, a notification box in red suddenly popped up before his eyes which he surprisingly recognized. 'Why does this box look like as if it was from Oblian Online 1?' He pondered a bit then read the context of the text. 'Welcome to Oblian online 2 beta testing! Beta tester kit granted! Oblian online 2 will open in 2 years, 343 days, 12 hours, and 40 minutes!' It was a lot to take in at first, but when Dan started to understand the text, he couldn't help but imagine that he was dreaming or was hallucinating, but he quickly eliminated these thoughts.

"If I think what happened, really happened, then I'm the luckiest bastard in the world, and I'm the luckiest bastard in a world that is going to go crazy" he said it aloud. So after he stood up immediately forgetting about that blade, he said "that word".

"System"

And suddenly countless boxes filled his vision in different colours each. "I'm really am right. The world will become Oblian Online 2!" he exclaimed. He then looked at the various panels and he confirmed his assumption. His character sheet had that crucial information.

I really turned into a vampire! It's all real! What should he do? These were his thoughts. He has done the math and he concluded that the debuff was only calculated after the buff, which is good. And then the seriousness of the problem struck him. He had to drink blood? Human blood? No way, he would never hurt another human! But the thing was, he actually felt his bloodthirst, it was not a game, it was reality!
