Nyx looks at Nuwa knowingly. That confirms her suspicions. She states, "I understand." At this point, Nyx cannot refuse to allow Hera's orbs through or else that vindictive Goddess will be offended that she is the only one not allowed to help Zagreus. Neither can Zagreus complete his fate without the help of the Olympian Gods. She quickly decides to create a loophole for their oaths of marriage.

Nyx points a finger to Nuwa's head and another one to her left hand. She pulls Hera's Authority out and encases it in a golden ring with a purple gem, which materializes on Nuwa's finger. She does the same for Zagreus.

Then she warns, "You two have felt the benefits of Hera's Authority, but it is a double-edged sword. If either of you ever have sex with anyone else, you will experience a severe backlash, whether or not the act is consensual. Nyx continues, "I am able to see through some of Chaos' seal due to my familiarity with the void, but even I cannot see past the [System]'s soulguard, which means this inhabitant of your soul is either my equal in soul strength or superior. Some powerful beings with severe soul injuries do indeed seek refuge in the souls of others, for a variety of reasons, but mostly as parasites."

Nuwa begins to tremble in fear. "So.. so.. all this time.."

Nyx looks at her foster daughter with pity and hugs her tight. "We don't know that being's purpose. It might not be malicious. However, if you ever wish to be free of it, you must grow strong. It will recover its strength as you gain yours, so you must grow even stronger still. Child, act with determination and integrity. If you do that, you may falter, but you will never fall."

"All this time.." Nuwa mutters, "I thought reaching t4 and becoming a Goddess was the end.."

Nyx chuckles and says, "If that is what it told you, it may yet leave on its own at that time. However, that's not something you should count on. Now hold still. I have to erase your memories of ever speaking about this or else it will know. Don't worry, Child, you will retain the feelings you have developed during the course of this conversation."

Nuwa nods with acceptance. She understands there is no room for leeway here. At least this way, even if she doesn't remember this conversation, she will retain a strong desire for power even after her current goal and her wariness towards the [System] will increase.

Nyx points to Nuwa's forehead and extends several tendrils of Darkness into her. They pull out a glowing light and solidify around it, after which Nyx exits Nuwa's soul with the Darkness gem. In the real world, no time has passed and Nyx's projection returns directly to her own soul where she crushes the gem of memories into nothingness.

Nuwa rouses from her frozen state and feels out of it for a moment before looking at Nyx with curiosity. Nyx carries on as if the conversation in Nuwa's soul never happened. She states in a sagely tone, "The [System]? I cannot help you. That is something you will have to find out about for yourself."

Nuwa feels slight dismay. She had been hoping for some answers, if only to reduce her anxiety on the topic. She does, however, trust Nyx greatly. 'If mom says that it is something I must discover on my own, then she must mean well. Maybe she wants me to use this as motivation to grow strong enough to learn the truth for myself!'

Zagreus puts a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

"One last thing." says Nyx. She points to the rings and decrees, "By my Authority of the Night, no one other than Zagreus or Nuwa may see these rings!" They flash once and the Darkness gems on the rings deepen in color, then extend tendrils of purple through the gold.

Nyx's Authority of Night is best at concealment. Now Hera will have no inkling at all of the loophole in her Authority. "Thank you, Mother Nyx." state Zagreus and Nuwa again with gratitude.

"Go on, Children. I'll head back home from here." Nyx watches them dash through to the next chamber. She presses her hand to the wall and speaks to Hades, "It is settled. Make way for me to return."

The walls light up and Hades grumbles, "Troublesome kids." Nyx floats casually over to the wall of the chamber closest to their House. They open up without issue as she approaches them and shut behind her under Hades' administration.

Nyx nostalgically thinks back to all of her other foster children. Even Megaera, despite being her subordinate and calling her 'Mistress', looks at her more like a mother. They both are clearly aware of Zagreus' progress and that she will die soon. Soon Nyx will have to console the dutiful Fury, especially considering the fact that she only has Hades' help with some minions compared to Zagreus and Nuwa who have the assistance of a plethora of Gods.
