Lover's Reunion 2

John didn't sleep much these days. He was always on edge, there was always something keeping him awake. Even with Stephanie laying peacefully on his chest, he still had to find Julia and bring her back.

"John, John..." Stephanie repeated in her sleep.

Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at John, smiling as she saw his face.

"Are you alright? Did they hurt you?"

She shook her head and rested her chin on John's chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"I'm fine, John, don't worry about me," she whispered.

"Stephanie," John whispered, brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes.

She looked up at him and he continued, "tell me what happened, what they had you doing, where and why. Please, tell me everything."

She nodded and proceeded to tell John what had happened from the moment she was thrown into the portal, right up to the moment John had found her.

"So, you never saw Julia?"
