Saving the Unnamed Woman

I tied the piece of cloth that I have teared from my shirt, at the back of my head. It wasn't half as bad, given that it worked pretty well, covering half of my face. "Woman!" I called out the woman — whom I do not know the name, still — who was held captive by the constable who wore a black suit, topped with a bulletproof vest. Honestly, it's weird to look at.

The woman stared at me, raising her eyebrows in queries as I daringly moved towards her and the constable beside her. When I got close to her, the constable moved in between us, extending his right arm before me, stopping me from going any closer.

"Stop right there or we will have to take you captive, as well." He threatened.

"A minute with her, sir. That's all I ask. After that, you can take her with you and do whatever you want to her." I said. I waited for his answer, hoping he will buy my words. Which, he did so. He moved beside her, holding the woman by the arm tightly.

"One minute." He said, looking at his watch, setting his watch's timer in one minute.

I wasted no time watching the constable's movements. Rather, I inched closer to the woman's ear and whispered. "When I say go, run towards my grocery bags and wait for me, right outside of this supermarket." She looked at me incredulously as if I was uttering nonsense, to which I regarded with a death glare. "If you want to live, listen to me." I warned her as she blinked her doubts off her expression.

In my peripheral vision, I caught sight of the constable checking his watched. "Time's up." He said. Without sparing him a glance, I quickly took the pin from my hair and run my fingers to the back of the woman, reaching for the keyhole of the cuff and inserted the pin on it as I turned it around, unlocking the cuff.

The constable noticed what I was doing, and so he grabbed me by the arm as his reflexes told him that I was being suspicious. Exactly what I have expected. "Nothing, I was just giving her a friendly tap." I lamely excused as I winked at the woman. Of course, I didn't expect the constable to believe my excuse. Especially, when he shot me with a cold gaze whilst his grip tightened around my arms. I felt it.

"Do you think, you can take me for a fool?" His eyes flared in infuriation as he stared directly into my eyes, forgetting about the woman he held captive a while ago. It's a good sign.

Not minding the constable in front of me, I looked behind him as the woman moved her arms and shot me a confused look when her wrists were no longer cuffed. It's about time.

"Go!" I shouted at the woman as I grabbed the arm of the constable that was gripping my arm. He was startled. And, with a swift move I pulled his arm towards my back, elbowed him around his lower open neck — which his heartbeat can be felt — as I turned around whilst holding his arm. Bending my upper body slightly, I carried his weight on my back, adjusting my right hand to grip the muscle around his underarm, and held the back of his head. Finally, I lifted him from my back, smashing his whole body to the floor in front of me. Which, caused him to lose his consciousness.

When I turned to search for the woman, she was already gone with my groceries, running to the exit of the supermarket as half of the numbers of the constables runs after her. While, the other half of the constables surged in my direction.

I didn't totally think that the woman would follow my words and rather run away for her safety, but then she did follow my words. Which is a good thing.

"Seize them!" Shouted the leader of the constables, who first pointed at me before going after the woman.

As an army of constables surged towards me, I considered slashing their heads off. However, I could not afford to spill their filthy bloods right in front of the people who were now panicking around us. So, I came up with a plan of going out of the scene without having to hurt anyone— aside from the constable I smashed on the floor.

When they were close to me, I ran. Yes, that was my plan, to ran away. I am way faster compared to the constables, but not more than the drones who were now chasing me and firing at me as I run towards the exit of the supermarket. I had no choice but to show off my ninja moves. I backflipped, jumped from left to right, back to front, avoiding bullets that were fired by the drones.

I finally made it out of the supermarket and my eyes instantly searched for the woman. I saw her hiding from the constables, behind my car. What a great coincidence. The constables and the drones continued to chase after me. Now, not only the drones are fighting, but the constables also.

I ran towards my car as I shouted at the woman. "Hey, woman! Press the button at the kerb of my car and get in!" Luckily, she did exactly what I told her. She pressed the button at the kerb of my car, threw the grocery bags inside as she went it, waiting for me. "Come on, faster!" She shouted at me, peeking her her head at the windshield of my car.

What an idiot. "Keep your head inside of the car or you'll be sorry!" I shouted back at her as I ran even faster whilst trying to avoid the firing drones. When I stepped in front of my car, I did not hesitate to settle at the back of my wheel and deflected Yolla's commands and instructions. I stepped on the gas and speeded my car away from the supermarket.

However, the drones continued to follow my car and kept on firing. Luckily, my car was built bulletproof. I looked at the woman beside me. She was panting, but I didn't say anything. Rather, I focused on driving. For a moment, I was relieved that we have distanced from the chasing drones. But events took a turn when the constables appeared in both sides of my car, riding their automated motorcycles. Armalites appeared at the bottom side of their vehicles and aimed at my car as they started firing, whilst mirroring my speed.

"To hell with all of this!" I screamed, forcefully stepping on my gas, and turned my car at the maze of alleys at our left side.
