59 Ch 4 : Distress Signal

I was flying through space, simply going in a random direction when my wrist computer started blinking a red light. Stopping suddenly and looking at my wrist, a red hologram came up. Emergency in bold letters were written at the top. He had received an emergency signal from another Kryptonian computer nearby.

Lucifer's mind worked quickly to narrow down the possibilities of who the signal might be coming from, his top guess would have been Zod's ship, but since that story-line had already happened in this universe the next best guess was Kara Zor-el, and her escape pod was finally out of the worm hole and was now sending out a distress signal.

Regardless he was going to check it out since Kryptonian tech was always welcome and maybe he would be able to get a ship that wasn't broken beyond repair.

...

After flying through the empty space for a few minutes, which meant that he had flown over 3 million miles, he finally came across a Kryptonian spacecraft, one that could only fit one, and inside it he saw a beautiful blond-haired woman, looking to be in her twenties. She was wearing a white leotard with a red cape, and with what could only be called a boob-window which showed her deep cleavage.

"This is Kara Zor-L! The earth-two version if I am right?" Lucifer asked himself, as he looked at the sleeping face of the young Kryptonian. But he knew that she was actually living a life inside of her mind, inside a virtual reality that also had her parents uploaded consciousness in, so she actually had a chance to grow up inside her mind alongside her parents.

For now, he had to move her and the craft to a planet with breathable air, he could stay alive in outer space, but she could not. So, he made his computer direct him to the closest planet that matched his needs. He used his new mental abilities to grab a hold of the craft so it would drag along behind him, much less awkward then holding onto it and flying.

...

*Kara Zor-L POV*

I was once again studying the subject my parents had set for me, or at least the virtual memories of my parents. I was about to take a break when suddenly the area changed, turning from my room back on Krypton to a ships main control room. My parents were standing at the console, watching the holographic image that was showing the video feed from the camera that was at the front of the escape pod I was actually laying in right now.

The video showed a man, with grey skin and a bold head, wearing what looked like a black Kryptonian under-suit, one that was made to have armour attached to it. Like the ones the soldiers would wear. The man was flying through space without any assistance or breathing apparatus.

"How is he alive?!" I shouted as I came to stand beside my parents. Who both had worried looks on their faces. "He shouldn't be even able to move out here in space, let alone breath like he seems to be able to?!" I exclaimed in surprise again, looking to my parents for answers.

"When a Kryptonian is basked in the light of a yellow sun they gain mighty abilities. A red sun does the opposite, it makes us weak. That is why most of the general populace had no idea about our hidden abilities, the leaders of our world decided that is was a danger to let anyone near a yellow sun, fearing the atrocities that would happen when horrible people gain power, real power." My father explained to me.

"So this grey skinned man has lived under a yellow sun, that's why he is able live in outer space?" I questioned them both. But their expressions made me think that there was something they were not telling me.

"Why do you both look so worried? What aren't you telling me?!" I said aloud, this time almost shouting at them. Causing my parent to share a look before my mother nodded her head to my father. He then turned back to me and said, "Look ago in our worlds history there was a beast of immense power that could destroy mountains with one punch, even while being under a red sun. Created by mistake, one that cost use dearly. It then became forbidden to speak or keep any records of the beast, to prevent it from ever being created again. It was not said to be intelligent, like this man."

This made me frown, he was speaking like this beast was once a Kryptonian that was changed to become powerful even when under a red sun but at the cost of their mind.

"This man looks like the described beast, except he is half the size and he isn't covered in bony, horn like armour. I only hope his intentions are pure." My father said once again looking at the video feed in worry. Like an father would about their daughter.

...

I soon arrived at the uninhabited planet just a few million miles away. I breathed in the fresh air and enjoyed the sights of nature that had never been touched by someone before. This was definitely one of the reasons I decided to leave earth even when everything happened there.

Taking another second to look around myself I turned back to the pod, Kara Zor-L was sleeping in said pod for over twenty years at least and it was finally time for her to wake up. Tapping a button on my computer that had connected with the pod, telling it to open up. A second later a hissing sound came from the pod as the hatch opened.

"Wakey wakey~ sleepy head!" I said in a soft tone that had nothing soft about it when said in my new voice, but it seemed to do the job.

The blond haired girls eyes shot open and locked onto me instantly, she looked weary and hesitant of me, like she was deciding whether she should run away at the drop of a hat or kicking me in the balls first and then running.

Which I would really hate! I had just made them and they were seeing some use! I didn't want to lose them again now!

"You don't have to worry, I won't do anything to you Kara. I am actually friends with your now grown up, baby cousin, Kal. He goes by Clark Kent now or Superman. Depends on if he is wearing a cape or not. Which you seem to have in common with him." I blurted out a pile of words at her and it seems to have calmed her down. Especially when I mentioned her cousin.

"Kal! He's okay?!" She asked quickly, finally getting out of the pod and coming up to me. Once I nodded my head, she went from worried to calm in a heart beat. It must have been weighing on her mind this whole time.

After she got more comfortable with me I sat down on the soft grass and she the edge of the pod and I explained everything to her, all that she had missed while she was floating through space. I even showed her holographic photos I took with Clark, and even Bruce, but that was more to piss him off.

"Why does he dress up like that? With the pointy ear's on top?" Kara asked while making horns on top of her head with her hands making me laugh deeply, even shaking the ground slightly when I slapped my knee when I couldn't control my laughter.

"If you meet him, please ask him that, the way you just did! It will be hilarious! Hahahahahaha!" I let out another hearty laugh just thinking about it.
