Chapter 14: The Armament of Nova Armor

Ethan nodded, feeling quite satisfied with the ability to arm a thousand sets of Nova Armor and use them as trump cards. If not for the limited supply of black-gold, he would have equipped Nova Star's entire million-strong army, significantly limiting the demons' weaponry. But with such a limited supply, arming a million troops was only a dream for Ethan.

"Aiden, what about the army's equipment? Our technological gap with the demons is too vast. Without adequate support, our regular troops stand no chance," Ethan expressed his concern.

"Based on the intelligence from Angel Hane, I've drawn the following conclusions: First, the demons possess the most advanced wormhole technology in the universe, with their most proficient tactic being wormhole sniping. This tactic uses ubiquitous micro-wormholes to enable beyond-visual-range combat. Unfortunately, we have almost no defense against this tactic. At our current technological level, we can't even detect wormholes, let alone counter wormhole sniping."

"Second, while wormhole sniping is their specialty, it doesn't mean demons are weak in other areas. The most typical example is the mainstream super warrior system in the known universe."

As Aiden spoke, a holographic screen displaying various data appeared before Ethan.

"This is the demon intelligence shared by Angel Hane. It shows that Demon King Moni herself possesses a third-generation divine body. While the specifics of a divine body weren't shared, I speculate based on your previous battle with that demon that a divine body represents a highly enhanced super warrior. It likely relates to combat strength, survival, and defense capabilities, suggesting our strongest weapons may not be able to destroy them."

"Demon King Moni commands numerous super warriors, including some on par with the third-generation demon you fought, or even stronger. This presents a significant challenge to our army."

"Lastly, there are the low-level demons in the demon army. These are reportedly humans from other planets infected by Moni's demon gene virus. Although their overall combat capabilities are inferior to Nova people, their sheer numbers pose a substantial threat. If the demons invade, these low-level demons will swarm, putting immense pressure on our troops."

"Considering these factors, I've made several upgrades and modifications to our military equipment. Against low-level demons, our best approach is to unleash unrestricted firepower upon detecting demons, using massive conventional missiles, artillery, and high-explosive rounds to suppress the enemy."

"I've equipped each army group with numerous exoskeletons and heavy combat armors. These have been significantly upgraded based on data collected from your previous battle with the demon. Though not as advanced as Nova Armor, they are sufficient against first and second-generation demons."

"For standard military weapons, I've upgraded the electromagnetic sniper rifles used by the leader's guards for general deployment. Their power has doubled, ensuring we can now pierce the skin of demons like the one you faced last time!"

"Additionally, I've deployed a hundred high-energy electromagnetic railguns across several floating spaceports on Nova Star. These railguns will physically eliminate specific demons with pure kinetic strikes."

Each piece of data Aiden reported made Ethan's eyebrows twitch. Even he could hardly conceal his excitement upon hearing such results. If he had to sum up his feelings, it would be: "I've never fought such a well-equipped war in my life."

After a while, Ethan calmed down from his excitement and spoke.

"The production of conventional weapons must continue, but Aiden, have you considered one thing?"

"Please, BOSS."

"What if the massive conventional weaponry still fails to effectively damage the demons? Have you accounted for this possibility?"

"BOSS, regarding the potential ineffectiveness of conventional weapons, I've implemented relevant measures. Each army group is equipped with over a hundred thousand 0.3 standard-yield tactical nuclear bombs (one standard yield equals one megaton TNT). Should they encounter targets that can't be eliminated by conventional means, they can decide autonomously whether to deploy these tactical nuclear bombs. If a nuclear bomb appears in an unauthorized location without quantum network authorization, it will immediately detonate."

Ethan nodded in satisfaction after hearing this.

"Excellent, Aiden. If such a situation arises, don't hesitate. For Nova's future, some sacrifices are inevitable."

"In times of crisis, sacrifice is necessary. And the people of Nova, past, present, and future, fear no sacrifice. I firmly believe our will can overcome anything!"

Ethan's voice was resolute and powerful, echoing through the room. Aiden, however, unlike usual, hesitated after hearing Ethan's words, recalling the war calculations from months ago. Could it really only end this way?

After a long silence, Aiden finally spoke.

"Boss, there's something I need to report to you..."
