34 34: Playing with fire

Rhon is half-conscious, hallucinating, and in deep pain. He lost his mind as Ywain used his body as an anchor to bring my demon army from the demon realm. 

With each butterfly that grazed through his skin, a demon came through and entered the small box that Ywain carried in his palm. 

I didn't like to see Rhon hurt. He is a sweet young boy who has been nothing but nice to me. Not to mention that he is a close friend to Laith.

Unfortunately, I'm not one to question Ywain's judgment. Ywain was clear that Rhon was the only one whose blood could be used to anchor to the demon realm and bring the demons here. 

Being a pure-blooded human, a rare breed that appears once every 500 years, his blood acts like a door between two realms.
