40 Chapter 40- Dungeon

I clung to Alex’s arm as we walked through the dirt tunnel. We were surrounded by darkness from the front and back. If we didn't have this lantern, we wouldn’t know if we were walking forward or not. It felt like we were walking for a long time, but it was probably only a few minutes. “Huh… I guess this was a secret tunnel,” Alex concluded.

“Secret or not, you better not leave my side. That lantern you’re holding is my only source of light right now. I rather not get lost in this scary place,” I whimpered, shaking like a lost chihuahua.

“Yes, yes,” Alex idly said.

We walked past an archway leading us to a larger room. We found a few torches on the stone walls and Alex used the matches to light them up. We could make out rusted iron bars.
