7 Not gonna happen!

(Zoya's POV)

As Astrid took out her knife I growled at her. She let it fall to the ground and kicked it away with her foot. In my mind the scene of Hiccup taming Toothless shot through my mind. "Please don't tell me she is trying to tame me. I don't want to become a dragon that does nothing else than carrying people around."

I slowly backed away from her. As I walked back she walked close to me and lifted her hand to the height of my snout. "Don't do it, don't do it" I said to myself. A few moments later Astrid turned her head not looking at me standing. "Aaaaaaaand she did it"

I sighed. I had no idea what to do now. Of course I wanted to help her and meet the main characters but I definitely didn't want to become a tamed dragon.

I came up with a compromise. According to the series a dragon could trust a human without actually becoming the humans tamed aka bonded dragon. While still in thoughts I heard something. It made me giggle and the sound of it made Astrid turn her head back to me and blush.

Astrid's stomach growled so loud that someone with sensitive ears could hear it on the other side of the island.

(Astrid's POV)

The Night fury walked away and I stood alone in the woods. "What just... happened" was all that was going trough my mind. There was a loud splash not to far away. I walked over to my knife and picked it up.

As Gobber taught me if I wanted to survive I needed two things. Water and food. And because the dragon didn't attack me I guess it was ok for me to follow it so it could lead me to a lake or something like that.

After a walk of only a hundred meters I already arrived at the lake. "WHOA" I took a few steps back after the dragon shot out of the water right in front of me.

Now we faced each other again. "Should I try taming it again?" I thought but then happened something that I didn't expect. The Night fury dropped the fish it just caught on the floor and carefully flushed one a bit to the side.

Then it bent down with it's face really close to the fish. It shot a really small blast at the fish grilling it instantly. With it's paw it shoved the fish to me.

I knelt down and took the fish in my hands. The dragon stared at me. "Is it waiting for me to eat?" I cant eat a fish by just biting in it. "I'm not going to harm you" I said as I pulled out my knife and quickly separated the flesh from the fish while the dragon was still staring at me.

(Astrid had no idea that in this moment the Night fury was jealous because it wished it would be able to do that)

After I shoved the first piece of fish in my mouth the Night fury shifted all its attention back to its own meal. It ate about ten fish in the same time I ate mine. Afterwards it lied down and looked at me.

I was still a bit hungry so I just plucked a few berries from the bush that was conveniently right next to me and ate them. The whole time the dragon continued to look at me.

(Zoya's POV)

I looked at her while she was eating her berries. "I always thought the animation was good but it isn't even CLOSE to what it looks in real life." I inspected her over and over again. "I wish I could have seen that battle life. That would have been better than any film" I thought to myself

(Astrid's POV)

I just sat there in awkward silence. The Night fury seemed to inspect me over and over again. I wished I knew what was going on inside its head. The wind blew and I started to shiver rubbing my hands against each other to stay warm.

The dragon looked at me. Then it lifted it's right wing and gestured with it's snout to the place right next to it.

"Am I really about to do this?" I thought as I walked closer to the dragon. I crouched and lied down next to the dragon but still in a safe distance. The dragon rolled it's eyes and used its wing to bring me closer to it.

It covered me with its wing and now I found myself in the same position I woke up to this morning. "This is going to be a sleepless night" I thought.
