First Day! New Friend, Zera Tempus

I walked into class and the teacher looked at me. I looked at the class and my mood dropped even worse as I saw Komine and Inami in the same class as me.

"Hello class! Today we have a new transfer student! He's from Saikari!" The teacher smiled.

"Saikari is pretty far from here.." Inami said then looked at me.

The teacher looked at me. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"

I nodded then looked at the class. "My name as you all know is Shin Pi. I used to be home schooled before coming here. I hope we all can get along and be friends."

I gave the class a soft smile. They frowned and I sighed then took my seat in the back of the class. I set my bag beside my desk and sighed then put my head down.

"...And so by improving your aura capacity you can improve the power of your ability. Does anyone wanna explain how that works?" The teacher asked. She looked around. "No one..?"

I sat up and raised my hand. The teacher pointed to me. "Your aura works as a Self-augmented source of power. The more aura you have the more things you can do with your ability."

"For someone with no ability, he seems to have a lot of knowledge upon the subject of it." Komine said.

"That is exactly correct! As I've researched, in other worlds aura is used as a power level. That isn't the case here. You aren't ranked on your level of power. You are ranked by your ability. By using aura you can enhance your abilities to do things your couldn't even do before!" The teacher smiled then looked at the class.

The door opened and a girl walked in the class. "Sorry I'm late teach. I was just coming back from the School War we had earlier. Trinity Academy takes another victory! Haha!"

The girl had long yellow hair and amber eyes. When she smiled she had very sharp canine teeth. Based off her appearance, I could tell her ability was some form of animal mimicry.

"Ahh! Good job, Ms. Loni! Take your seat and turn to page-"

"Hold on! Is that a boy?!" Loni asked as she looked at me.

I ruffled my own hair. "Don't mind me! Just a guy with no ability sitting here. What ever you do don't ask me to fight! I don't wanna fight I just wanna go home to my house."

Loni looked at me and walked to me then placed her hand on my desk. She sniffed me and glared at me. "You really do wreak...that scent of no ability kinda pisses me off!"

"Hey teach! You're not gonna do anything about this?! This is actually bullying!" I tilted my head to look at the teacher.

"There isn't a thing I can do for you. Maybe if you had even the slightest ability, you would've avoided this situation." The teacher shrugged the smirked at me.

The class looked at me and their eyes shined. I felt outnumbered in this situation. I was powerless against all these girls. I looked at Loni and she smirked at me.

"Leave him alone...Lion Girl." A girl with pink hair said as she looked out the window.

Loni looked back then looked at the girl with pink hair. "Huh? Or what Zera? You dare stand against me?"

"Don't forget who's the top 5 of this academy." Zera looked back and her blue eyes shined.

"Ha! Prove it to me then. I've never seen you in the grounds fighting for this academy's rank!" Loni bellowed then transform into her Feline Mode.

Lion ears appeared on her head and a lion's tail appeared on her bottom. Her nails became claws and her pupils became vertical. Zera stood up and looked at Loni.

The other girls moved away from the two girls who were prepared to battle. A whistle blew and everyone looked at the teacher.

"This is not the place to settle your beef! We will take this outside! Go to the west courtyard!" The teacher said.

Zera and Loni stood in the courtyard while the rest of us watched from the top floor of the building that had a view of the west courtyard.

"I've been waiting for this! I can't believe you'll risk your reputation to save this no tier male. You've fallen down the ranks." Loni smirked and stomped her foot down. "Now prepare to lose! The best fighter in the academy is here!"

Loni dashed to Zera and went for a punch. She looked surprised as she phased through her. Zera looked back and Loni growled then roared and went for a barrage of attacks. Zera dodged her attacks without even looking at Loni. Zera turned and caught her fist then kneed her stomach. Loni groaned then Zera let go of her hand then Loni froze in time. She struck Loni quickly five times. Loni groaned as she took damage then was blown away. She spun in a circle then landed on her feet perfectly. She roared loudly and her aura surged powerfully. Powerful winds blew as Loni roared and she got in a fighting stance after she got done roaring.

I looked at Zera and got in a thinking pose. 'Time Manipulation at a basic level. She was able to move at speeds that made her intangible and stopped Loni in time but didn't stop time for the rest of us. That takes a lot of focus...Zera is more impressive than I expected and Loni has Lion Physiology....perfect balance when fighting. Outstanding endurance...she has amazing speed..and natural weaponry. These are definitely two top tiers.."

Loni leaped to Zera and punched then landed on the ground. Zera appeared beside Loni and kicked her stomach, causing her to fly in the air. Loni let out a fearful meow then noticed Zera appear above her then punched her to the ground. Loni crashed to the ground and groaned then turned normal. Zera landed on the ground then her jacket sleeve fell off her shoulder. She fixed her jacket then walked away.

There were murmurs going on in the halls. Most of them were surprised that Zera was that powerful to take down someone like Loni with little to no difficulty. I looked at Loni and walked off.

I walked down the stairs and noticed Zera walking down the hall. "Hey!"

Zera stopped and looked at me. We looked at each other and I walked down the stairs. I gave her a smile then placed my hands in my pants pocket. "Oh it's you..Shin correct?"

"Yeah I'm Shin. Thanks for sticking up for me earlier." I said then noticed her turn away.

"It's whatever..." She walked off.

I took out my phone then checked the time. "Seems like it's lunch time."

I got my lunch and went to the roof. I walked through the door and noticed Zera sitting on the roof. She looked at me and had her burger in her mouth. I walked over to the fence and sat beside her.

"You normally sit alone at lunch?" I asked.

"I save you once and you think we are friends. Don't get the wrong idea. I only saved you because I find it unfair that you are the only getting picked on." Zera looked away. "Why did you even apply here? Did you even do any research?"

I gave a nervous laugh then rubbed the back of my head. "Not really. I just saw this was the most prestigious academy near my area. I never anticipated it'll be like this...I already paid the fee and everything so there is no use in complaining about it now."

Zera looked at me then cracked a little snicker. "How did you miss the core information that this was an all girl academy? You must really wanted to escape home.."

"Ah..that's not the case. I just wanted to do something different from home school. You know, not be cooped up at home all day." I smiled at her.

"Well sorry if your first impressions weren't as good as you expected. There's a Ranking System in this school. You aren't ranked on how powerful you are. You are ranked on how good your ability is and your win to loss ratio. There's this thing called the Top Trinities. It's made up of five of the best fighters in the academy. On top is me, second is Loni, third is between Komine and Inami, fourth is a girl named Miriam, and fifth is a girl named Sasha." Zera explained.

"I can see how you made it to the top. With an ability like yours, you're literally impossible to beat huh." I chuckled and ate a french fry.

"You can say that." Zera smiled.

We both heard an explosion and looked out into the distance.

"Okay, this time I take the blame but come on!" Inami said then dodged Komine's kick.

"Die!" Komine bellowed and punched the ground, missing Inami.

A whistle blew and Ms. Iwayoshi ran after them. "Get back here you delinquents!"

Zera and I let out a chuckle as we watched the three. "It's always been like this. Hopefully you'll warm up to everyone and they eventually warm up to you.."

"I hope so too." I nodded.

We then proceeded to eat lunch together on the rooftop, growing ever more acquainted with one another.
