Not a Dragonborn But Still a Badass (re-writing)

Hi, wanted to try an idea I had a while ago. This will probably be really bad at the beginning, but I may rewrite it when I get used to writing in English (yeah, English isn't my main language, same shit you've seen in many other synopsis) Feel free to tell me whatever you think I'm doing wrong or pointing out misspelling and grammatical errors. You all probably know this already but I don't own Skyrim, Devil May Cry or anything that you can slightly recognize from other games, novels, animes, etc. The cover isn't mine, so if you can prove me that it's yours and you want it to be removed I'll do that.

Please point out any error that you might find so I can fix it. You're also welcome to share any opinion that you have about my writing as I'm totally new to this and I would like any review I van get.

Enjoy!

"Well, let's get to the point. You're dead and I'm giving you the chance to reincarnate in a world of your choosing, we'll discuss the part about power and appearances after you select where to go."

The one who talked just now is an old man that has the look of your everyday stereotypical god, ROB or whatever you wanna call him. We're currently inside of what I can describe as a cozy cottage that takes place besides a lake in the middle of a forest. The old man's sitting in front of me looking through some papers and sipping coffee while he explains my situation.

"...That's a very blunt way to tell someone they just died y'know." If i ever wondered how meeting a god would be like, I'm pretty sure I never thought of a scenario like this.

"Indeed, but after seeing your memories I know that you wouldn't care how I were to tell you about it. In your short life you were uninterested on anything not related to video games so I thought why not get to the point and be over with it."

"Fair point. So you said I have to choose the world first? Let's see..."

I always imagined myself in situations like this because, as the old man said, I found my old world to be totally boring. Forced to remember things I won't use in my entire life just to pass an exam that doesn't help me with anything, forgetting all the bullshit they made me learn so I can get a job that I'll probably hate. The only thing that got my attention were video games, anime and the like, I was basically your average gamer guy. Going back to the topic of worlds that I would like to travel, well it's complicated. I mean sure, Dark Souls is a really good game but I'm not going near that shit where everything can kill you even if they stay still.

"If I were you I would just choose the world I'm most familiar and comfortable with, wich in your case seems to be The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."

He's right, Skyrim is the game that I played the most im my whole life. I guess that's the only option that would be enjoyable and still be somehow manageable if I make wise decisions.

"Alright, I'll take your advice and go with Skyrim as the world I want to be reincarnated into."

The old man showed a faint smile while giving a sagely nod which was accented by his overly sagely beard. "Good, it's better to choose something you're kinda used to, that way you'll be enjoying life much more as you would be living your own adventure in the world you always wanted to be part of."

"You're right, I think this is the best and I'll find a way to manage somehow."

"Alright, now you can choose the powers you want along with the looks of some character or living person."

"After Skyrim and TES in general, the franchise I liked the most was Devil May Cry, and I thought that Nero was pretty cool so let's go with that one for both powers and looks."

"I see, I'll let you know that you'll be able to get Nero's weapons and abilities, but you'll have to find them around the world and they will be having a little nerf. As much as I would like to, I can't have you go around pulling Devil Triggers on the thalmor like they're some kind of punching bag. I'll also let you choose 2 of Dante's fighting styles to use and you'll obtain them the same way as the other things."

"Oh? I wasn't expecting that one, well I'll choose the Doppelganger Style and the Trickster Style."

"Done, they too will be nerfed, though not as much as the weapons and abilities. You'll also have a little system but it'll only show you your stats and the like, so don't expect a multiverse shop and all of that bullshit. Maybe I'll let you go to other worlds if you accomplish great enough things bus that remains to be seen."

Now that I think about it I realized that I ended up forgetting the most basic thing about reincarnations, and that is to be able to travel various worlds to get even stronger and it would be really funny to meet my favourite characters of other games.

"Alright, that should be all, I allowed you to have the devil bringer since the beginning but it won't be able to much other than giving you strength greater than a human's and being really durable. Now that you're all set, off you go."

As he said that I suddenly felt my eyelids getting 100x heavier before falling into an unconscious state.

When I slowly began to regain my senses I could hear the clattering of what seems to be a carriage and the neighing of a horse. Every time I breathed I could feel the cold in the air and the wind slowly crawling up my skin. When I managed to open my eyes I saw a scene all too familiar to me, 3 persons in the same carriage as me and a soldier that was driving the carriage.

The one in front of me had blonde hair that reached his shoulders. He was wearing a blue armor that defined his siding in the war. 'I don´t think I would like to take part in the civil war for skyrim. Too much unnecessary trouble for me. I always found Balgruuf to be a pretty chill and cool guy, so I might help him if he's the same in here.'

To my right there was a handcuffed man with his mouth gagged. He has long brown hair and a wolf fur cape that looked really cool, at least to me, a guy that lived in the modern world until not too log ago.

In front of him was a man in rags with black short hair that had fear and grievance written across his face. What truly shocked me was seeing another man sitting to his left. In the game there were only 4 people, including the player's character, riding this carriage.

'Right, the old man said nothing about me being the protagonist, so I can only assume that this guy is the original dragonborn.' Said guy had hair similar to the blonde guy but a little darker, a broad build and it seems he was unconscious too.

After inspecting the others I noticed that like the last 2 of them I was in rags and had a some sort of thick bandage like thing that covered my entire right arm from my elbow to my fingers. I had a toned build but without being overly muscled coupled with very pale and fair skin. I could also see a couple strands of my hair that were as white as the snow that's currently surrounding us.

Then I heard it, what might cause some people to scream in ecstasy if they heard it too, and other might just find it unamusing after hearing it so many times..

I felt refreshed. I felt enlightened, because I heard, THE WORDS OF POWER.

"Hey you, you're finally awake..."
