noooooope

He got scammed! He was expecting to go somewhere where he would have to fight, an easy way to satisfy his battlenut self. Afterall, the excileration of a battle was so satisfying, exciting and fulfilling at the same time. But this... Place... was just not for him. That damned god must be laughing his ass off right now. ___ The summary sucks but I will try to make the story good... Hopefully. I don't own pokemon, btw.

Chapter Four

Amber was... Conflicted.

On one hand, he had a pokemon that could get 1/9 as hot as the sun, on the other hand, he had no idea how to train one. There was nothing on the net, no evolutions, no ways to see what move's a Charcadet could learn, and no guides on how to care for one even as a companion.

This meant two things... One, It was so weak that nobody bothered to put even the basics on the net, or two, The evolution was powerful enough for it to be kept a secret, only known to those who managed to evolve one.

Either way, he was keeping the little guy. He didn't have the space where he could keep any pokemon he didn't want on his journey like ash had with professor Oak and abandoning a sentient pokemon, and one so small would feel like abandoning a child. The fact that he seemed to be working hard only drove that feeling home. He was aiming to please. Him, to be precise.

The fact that his Charcadet grew bigger, his only two attack moves being Ember and Fire Spin, getting stronger only proved his hypothesis. Any pokemon he would catch would get accelerated growth. Wasn't that neat?

Still, three days have passed since their new addition and Shinx could pull off fifteen Charges already, and his Tackle could leave a crack on a rock. He could feel the developing muscles when he cuddled up to him for scratches and pats.

Right now, he was busy rummaging through the lost and found box, looking for something very specific. He simply did not have any funds to get one on his own, so this was his next best bet.

He grinned when he found the item. A weight. Turning it over, he observed the amount written over it. 11 lbs, perfect. His Shinx Currently weighed about twenty, if what the nurse told him was true. more than double his current weight.

Straightening up, he pocketed the weight and walked out of the pokemon center. There was nothing much to be done, if something was found in "lost and found" it was found, no matter who picked it up.

The important thing was training. They could kick ass for money later.

Returning to the same clearing they were training at, he dug into his pocket and took out the single Pokeball inside, the other one was in the other pocket. With a click of the button, it snapped open, and a flash of red later, his Shinx was revealed to the world in all of his adorableness.

"Shinx!"

The little electric type brightened up instantly as he saw his trainer and strolled up in front of him to sit down and wait patiently for anything he would say.

Amber just chuckled and crouched down, giving the little guy some scratches behind the ear, his favorite place. After he was done, he brought out the weight and put it on the Pokemons back. He could see his Shinxes legs buckle, but a second later, he righted himself and looked at the weight for a second before turning his eyes back on him.

"Shi?"

Petting his little head, Amber started to explain.

"This is a weight, it will increase your strength and stamina."

Realization flashed through the young Pokemon's mind and stood up, ready for more training.

"Now, I want you to run around the settlement for as long as you can, tell me if you need to rest, okay?"

Getting up, Shinx ran off as Amber watched him for a moment before reaching into his other pocket, and taking out the Pokeball of Charcadet. Releasing it, he began to ponder something important. How does he explain Will-O-Wisp?

"Hey, Charcadet, you know how using your fire feels, right?"

The fire type nodded, wondering what his trainer was getting to. Amber hummed in thought, closing his eyes and thinking for a second... Yeah, nope. He still had no idea.

"Try creating a small ball of fire for now, form it into a ball shape and hold it for as long as you can."

The small fire type nodded and extended his hands. Amber moved to the side, if something went wrong, he didn't want to be anywhere near the blast.

He watched from a distance, as Charcadet tried his best to follow his instructions. He could see a small flicker of flame extend from its small hands but it dispersed as quickly as it came. Watching the process repeat itself a few more times, Amber raised an eyebrow, getting an idea about something... A future prospect one would say.

Each time, the small flame would grow bigger every time but would die out as soon as it came. This gave him an idea of what Charcadet was doing wrong, but it also gave him an idea about a new move he could learn in the future.

There was the flamethrower, a single continuous line of fire, why couldn't there be a fireball, one, powerful ball of flame exploding on contact? It would be original, and definitely not stolen from some other world he knew of. No sir.

Now, hopefully, there were no interdimensional lawyers that would sue him because of copyright.

Chuckling at his own joke, the teen took off his backpack and started unbuttoning his black shirt. His Pokemon were trying hard, why should he be the one slacking off? Besides, Kicking ass himself didn't sound so bad.
