1 Prolong

My aunt had invited us over for the summer holidays.

She stayed with her husband and her daughter. I think the main reason behind her invitation was for us to keep her daughter company.

Tina, my cousin was spoiled by her parents. So they never really took her attitude or behavior seriously.

Whenever me and my twin sister came around, she and Nomathemba would gang up on me.

I had to do most of the chores as they lazed around in the house. It has been like this since Tina was old enough to talk.

I never really cared because I enjoyed spending time alone. It allowed me search deep within myself and understand the type of person that I am.

Today like any other day, Tina and Nomathemba left early morning to go shopping and I had to plant the flowers around the pool as the Gardner had fallen sick and my aunt is stingy when it comes to paying.

Hence instead of hiring a temporary Gardner as the contract one was sick, she gave us the task of planting the flower.

I felt something painfully hit me on the head. I realised it was a ball as it floated on the pool.

I stood up to see where it came from, to only be blinded by a tale male staring at me with his hazel eyes.

He pushed his dreadlocks behind his ear then his eyes proceeding to scan me, from my head to my toes.

" Are you alright?" he then asked.

At first I was shocked that such a voice came from him. It sounded too deep and manly for his boyish looks.

I think I must have been staring too long because I heard him chuckle which resulted in me looking away as I felt myself getting embarrassed.
