The Trap Card

Days have passed since we began our journey back to the city capital, but let's just say that it hasn't been such a smooth, easy ride.

 For instance, right now, I have a hungry slave, loli, trying to eat me anytime she gets a chance to nibble at me.

"Pweaaase Mastaaa! Food! Waaaahh!!" 

"And what exactly do you expect me to give you? I'm also starving, you know?" 

She had become insufferable lately. Still, I couldn't blame her after getting us into this involuntary fast. My mouth and stomach craved some of that delicious cavern food I could smell it from so far uuugh!

Then, another soft bite from Ukyo quickly reminded me that I had to think of a way to get us something to eat, or she could turn full feral and end up having me as a snack. 

It wasn't an easy task, though; we had already been on the move for an entire week, and there was still no sign of life around us, ow man. 

To make matters worse, the monster meat we were resorting to turned out to be useless. No matter how much we ate, our SP bars did not go up at all! Useless! MUDAAA!

At the very least, Ukyo still had a little over a quarter of her SP left while I had more than half, but this was not good news; if we encountered any strong opponents, we would be done for. 

Our morale was at its lowest when Ukyo's excited voice brought me back to reality; she had spotted a road! YES, YES, YES! I thought. 

It was good news, at least until I used my unique skill [Telescopic sight] and, of course, spotted trouble; it was that bitch, "Mabel." NO, NO, NO, SHIT, SHIT, NO!

Should I even have to explain why seeing her upsets me? How about you find out in her background story? I'm sure she is giving you a blast with her storytelling skills, AKA LIES!

Dam, he is insufferable; he keeps trying to pick me up when I tell him he is just not my type. You read that right: Mabel is a boy. Traps was what we called them back in the US. 

Nobody else besides me knows that they're really men, so for consistency's sake, I will be referring to them as she, like literally the entire world, has been fooled into believing. 

Soon, I had to make the call and choose to try to grab Mabel's attention with Ukyo's help. After all, she was pretty generous with me; some help wouldn't be bad in our situation. 

"Quick Ukyo! Make a small flare explosion with your magic!"

"Mpphh! But you must catch me because it will use the rest of my MP."

"Fine! Just do it!"

"First Flare!" 

A radiant light came flying from Ukyo's hand and shot high into the sky, creating a really visible flare, and like she had warned me, She fell right into my arms, defeated right after.

Mabel's carriage stopped, and it soon turned back to us. Now, I was desperately trying to run into the road with Ukyo hanging on my back. 

"Master, did I do well?"

"Yes, good job, Ukyo; please hold on with me. Don't close your eyes; help is on the way."

"But Master, my eyes, uuuh Heavy."

When she passed out on my back, something inside me kicked in, and a rush of dad energy filled my body, allowing me to run faster for a brief moment until I made it to the road. 

Soon, Mabel's carriage arrived with one annoying brat waiting for me. I was a little embarrassed to ask her for help AGAIN! OKEY!? She had already done so much for me, and it felt emasculating to keep asking for more. 

But this was necessary. I had no choice but to kneel down and ask her for help again. Otherwise, the slave loli I had bought and was finally raising my level would end up dead of starvation. 

"Well, well, who do I see now? Is that you, Ryoga?" 

A recognizable figure opened up the door and saluted me. Oh, man, I hated her guts. Don't get me wrong, he was cute and all, but the way I discovered they were a male rubbed me the wrong way. ALRIGHT!? I'm not a phobe or anything.
