Louis Snyder groaned on the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood. The others rushed to intervene. "Boss, let it go, look, he's spitting blood. Don't cause a death! After all, we got our money. Let's go."

The footsteps slowly faded away.

Struggling, Louis rose from the filthy ground. His once carefully worn attire now soiled beyond recognition, he leaned against the wall to regain some semblance of composure.

He headed towards the only pharmacy nearby.

The vendor, a young girl, initially eyed him warily, mistaking his disarray for that of a troublemaker and was about to call the police. However, on a closer look, she realized he was a handsome young man.

Blushing, she handed Louis some medications for dressing wounds, reminding him, "Don't get your wound wet."

The young man did not respond.

Hesitating, the girl gathered the courage to ask, "Do you need me to help…"
