39 EXPLORING HIS FIRST LAND

"Mom, I'll be leaving now," Terrence informed her mother as he saw that he was already running late.

Tiana looked at Terrence. "Where are you really going? It's too early for you to leave." She placed her hands on the side of her waist, looking at Terrence curiously.

Terrence just smiled. "Somewhere, Mom," he only replied.

Tiana shook her head and side. "Just don't forget that we need to go to Abigail's school by 3 in the afternoon. Don't be late, Terrence. Your sister is expecting you there." She reminded.

Terrence nodded. "Yes, Mom. I know that. I'll immediately leave there after lunchtime and come back. If ever, let's meet in Abigail's school." He uttered.

"Alright. Just don't forget it, Terrence." Tiana warned. She eyed Terrence and noticed that he looked different today.

'It seems like he will apply for a job.' she thought. It was only 6 in the morning.

"I'll go now, then." Terrence waved his hands. "Just tell Abigail that I'll be there." He continued to talk as he walked outside.

Terrence looked at his clothes when he was finally outside. He was wearing a white polo shirt and black slacks. His hair was neatly styled and combed, too. It was weird, but Terrence had to dress in a semi-formal way.

He was planning to go to Linus Town and check his land there. He wanted to see the location and the building to see what needed to be done.

Terrence thought that what he was doing was so sudden. He was just a worker last week and was now making his own store. He didn't know the purpose of this store and why it was his mission.

Fortunately, since Terrence worked in a grocery store, he knew how it worked. He also knew where to buy the supplies needed since he saw the logs in Edwin's grocery store.

The good thing was his store was located in a different place, so there would be no competition between them.

Terrence rode a cab towards the town. It was a 2-hour journey, so he knew it would take a long time.

Terrence looked at his level. He was quite bothered at how low it was. He was thinking that he should be at level close to 10 by now.

The thought about his low level wouldn't get off his brain. He decided to shop for quite a bit later to increase his EXP.

Terrence made a plan in his head to stay on track.

First, he would go to his land to see what he had there. He wanted to know if it was appropriate for a grocery store, or if there were still adjustments that needed to be done.

After that, he would go around to shop for things. He would probably buy things that they need in the house or anything that he would find useful to their family.

And, of course, by 12 in the afternoon, he will need to ride a cab once again to go to Abigail's school. That was the most important thing in his schedule for today.

2 hours passed on the road, and Terrence arrived at his destination. He paid $898 to the driver. It was expensive, but he didn't care.

[You gained 40 EXP]

[You earned $1347!]

If it was his past self, then he would probably feel bad spending that much money. But now, it was as if he was just spending a mere penny.

'Damn,' Terrence cursed silently as his eyes looked at the building in front of him.

It was a two-story building painted in white. The front wall was all glass, showcasing what was inside except for the second floor, where the glass walls were dim.

Compared to the second floor, the first floor looked more open to the public. Just a look at it, and you can tell that it was massive inside

However, one thing he noticed was that it looked different than most grocery stores you would find.

It looked so modern.

Terrence looked around. He wanted to see what the other buildings looked like. He noticed that even if the other buildings were similar to his, his building looked more vibrant.

Before going in, Terrence walked around the whole outside of the shop. There was a huge space on the left side of the building.

At his measurement, it could at least fit 15 cars. In his mind, he already thought that he would use it as a parking space.

When Terrence was done, he went to the main entrance. Terrence tried to open the door, but it was not budging.

"..."

Terrence looked back to see if any people were staring at him, but there were none. He did not want other people to have any wrong idea about what he was doing.

His forehead creased. He noticed that there was a fingerprint lock on the side of the door.

'What do I do with this?'

[Ding! You just need to put any of your fingers on the fingerprint sensor, and the door will open.]

When Terrence heard the answer, he did exactly as what was instructed to him. He slid the cover of the fingerprint sensor to the top before placing his right index finger on the sensor.

The lock created a beeping sound before a green light appeared on the side.

*Tick

When Terrence heard the unlocking sound, he pushed the door.

Amusement was an understatement of what he felt when he saw the inside. There was a big chandelier in the middle of the building.

The inside was clean and organized. On the middle to the left side, shelves were standing in alignment. Terrence could see big freezers and fridges at the back of them.

On the right side, near the door, there were 4 cashier counters.

Terrence walked forward. He was fascinated. This wasn't what he imagined at all!

As Terrence walked to the middle of the inside, his heart pounded. He was happy and thrilled at the same time. He was about to walk around when a notification sounded.

[Ding! [Inventory] Tab is added.]
