Chapter [01]

Water drenched my exterior, my fingers twitched from the cold climate, and I could feel how difficult breathing became. Puddles splashed all around me, and I began to sense that my body would collapse due to lack of nourishment. My eyes started to close, and soon I felt nothing drip on my skin?

I took a quick glimpse to see a man hovering with a gamp, and my vision once more was steady to realize that the man was a boy. He kneeled, "would you like help?" Nothing escaped my lips, and I noticed him retrieve a quilt from his bag and set it on the nasty and wet ground.

Suddenly, he grasped my under-thighs and picked me up. I defensively tried to strike him, but he captured my wrist and gave me a reassuring stare with his green peridot eyes. "Halt," he demanded as I stopped, watching him set me on the sheets.

He passed me the gamp along with removing his coat, to then enwrap me with it. He took a seat and moved the bag to me, "Eat up." I shook my head."I-I couldn't..." He pulled out a box with tiny sandwiches and moved it towards me.

"It is rude to decline food." He stated, persuading me to snatch one up. Both of us gorged in silence, and our sights never left the drizzling shower of the clouds. I have slept under these skies for many moons, and this is the first time I see it as beautiful... Some shouting knocked me back to reality. The boy shot his body up as if he were going to disappear any moment,

"Your items." I tried offering his gamp, coat, sheet, and leftover foods. However, he pushed them to me and gave a light smile. "They belong to you now." He bowed - "Have a good evening, and I hope to visit you morrow," "You do not need to. I thank your kindness enough." He came closer. "Let me rephrase. I'd like to see you anew."

I felt taken aback and waiting for his following words. "Will you allow me to come again?" My fingers grasped the coat... "Promise not to falsify." He chuckles, moving his hand to his heart as if to pledge. "I, Beaumont, vow to see you over and over again." "I, Hosuh, accept."

He pushed his hand to me with water dripping from his blond hair. "And with this handshake done, our promise shall be sealed, and we will be bound to one another." I gulped, shaking his hand. "One another."
