The Poker

At noon, Oliver called Erica and Arvin to invite them to play poker with them at home. Four people sat together to have lunch in a comfortable atmosphere. Erica was very hungry so she devoured the food in front of her regardless of her image.

Arvin on the other hand was eating elegantly. With a mischievous smile on his handsome face he said to Ava, "Miss Green, if Oliver ever bullies you, just let me know, I'll teach him a lesson for you."

Oliver raised his eyes and glared at him. Some friend, he thought.

Ava smiled lightly but didn't say anything. She suddenly thought of the time when he used to play tyrant with her all the time, but now he has changed so much. He was not his usual cold and indifferent self at home instead he was warm and often laughed and teased her. He now treated her so well that she even forgot that she wanted to leave him so desperately before he confessed to her.

After a pleasant lunch, the four set up the table for poker. Arvin's deep eyes flashed a trace of an evil spirit, and he asked with a broad smile, "What about the loser?"

"Loser would have to pay, what else?" Ava said innocently after all it's poker, paying off would only be fair, Ava thought.

"NO... Not fair. Who is the poor among us?" Arvin asked.

"It's me." Ava raised her hand with great self-knowledge.

"Miss Green, stop joking. Your man is the richest in the whole city how could you be poor? It's me, I am the poorest among the four, so I don't agree to pay up to the rich people like you." Arvin was amused by Ava, this girl was really different.

"Poker is not fun." Erica curled her mouth and in her beautiful face, it was written that she had no interest in poker.

"Fine. If no money then what?" Ava asked pouting.

"How about if you lose, you take off your clothes." Arvin's handsome face showed an evil smile.

Erica threw the pillow at Arvin's head, "Arvin, you're shameless."

"Arvin? Did you forget to call me brother now Rika?" Arvin was holding his forehead in pain and shouting angrily.

"I thought we are playing poker not strip poker, besides, it's not really fair we didn't put on many clothes you know and not to mention Rika and me, both are girls how can we take off our clothes in front of you," Ava said thoughtfully.

Arvin raised his eyebrows and said with a naughty smile, "It's ok if you don't want to take off your clothes, you could make your men take off his clothes for you."

Oliver was silent till now, he looked at Arvin and said coldly, "OK, enough jokes. How about whoever loses will have to answer the winner's question truthfully."

"Fine." The three agreed in unison.

They started to play very seriously and the game was getting very interesting. Arvin had a good card on his hand however Erica and Oliver kept beating him, Ava had the worst card among the four but somehow in the end instead of her Arvin lost the game miserably.

Erica and Ava looked at each other and started to laugh out loud looking at Arvin's face.

Cough...Cough "Let me ask you the first question. When was your first time?" Erica asked with a wicked smile.

Arvin's face got black. He asked back, "What's the first time?"

Ava was laughing so hard that her stomach started to ache. She didn't expect that Arvin who looked so wild on the surface, would actually blush when asked such a question.

"Oh come on, don't play dumb. We are all grown up here." Erica continued to push him.

"Never," Arvin replied straightforwardly.

In fact, Arvin and Oliver were the same. On the surface, they would portray a playboy image but actually, they had a very clean personality.

Erica scowled, obviously, she didn't believe him. She snorted, "Don't lie, don't you have a fiancée? How could you not have sex with her? "

"Well, I haven't."

Erica and Ava's face was full of doubt, they didn't believe it. Only Oliver had a smile on his face but he didn't say anything. He knew what Arvin said was true.

"OK! Second question, when are you going to get married?" Oliver continued to smile.

"In two to three years, maybe."

"Then why did you get engaged so early?" Erica said with dissatisfaction.

"I am supposed to answer only one of your questions, which I already did so I am going to ignore this one." Arvin shrugged.

"Alright, it's my turn. Why did you get engaged so early?" Ava smiled and glanced at Erica.

When Arvin heard Ava's question he immediately realized the three of them have ganged up against him. Of course, they would after all they were a family, one was Oliver's girlfriend and the other was his sister. He was the only outsider here.

"Forced by parents, commercial marriage." Arvin's face suddenly showed a touch of sadness. He pursed his lips and lowers his head.

"Let's start the next game." Oliver knew Erica already got the answer she was looking for so he changed the subject by proposing a new game.

In fact, Erica and Arvin loved each other from childhood but both were being stubborn, no one was willing to admit it first. Instead, they would always take their frustration on each other by quarreling. Maybe it was their way of expressing love. As a bystander Oliver could see it clearly but if they didn't admit it to themselves then what could he do?

A few months ago, Arvin was engaged in a rush and Erica finally gave up on him thinking maybe they after all had no chance to be with each other.

In the next game, Oliver had good cards and was about to win but looking at Ava's pitiful face he gave up his winning game and secretly helped her like he did in the last game but this time he couldn't recover and lost the game.

Now Oliver regretted helping Ava, Arvin wouldn't let him go, he would definitely take revenge for asking him that question.

"Now Mr. Knight was under the bridge," Arvin said with a smile.

Oliver's face was so dark that anyone would be scared to just looking at his face, however, he was curious what question Arvin would ask him.

"Ava, you won, so you can ask the first question," Erica said with a smile.

Ava pursed her lips and lost in deep thought she couldn't find anything to ask Oliver. They have been living together, they almost knew everything about each other so she decided to ask something silly.

"What fruit do you like most?" Ava asked after a while.

"Watermelon." Oliver almost immediately replied.

"What's your favorite food?" Erica asked with a smile.

"Chicken."

Arvin's face turned sour, he was indeed an outsider here. Are these real questions to ask Oliver? How many secrets these women could get out of him right now but instead they teamed up against him. It was so unfair. However he was not a fool, he wouldn't ask such silly questions to him. Suddenly Arvin looked at Oliver and gave a cunning smile.

"When was your first time, please specify in detail," Arvin said with a wide smile, his face looked pure evil at that time.

As soon as he asked the question, the whole living room became quiet, everyone was holding their breaths. It was so quiet that one could hear the clock ticking on the wall loudly.

It was terrible.
