The Exchange

Uncle Joe looked toward the stage like a hawk in the night sky looking at his prey. His eyes were sharp and sinister, aiming at Ava.

He asked lightly, "What do you want me to do?"

"Keep an eye, find out why she is here and with who," Oliver said in an unpredictable way as his dark eyes slightly narrowed, making people unable to understand his mind at the moment.

After the end of the song, Ava stepped down gracefully, but her heart was bleeding, she came back to Jacob and held his hands tightly as if looking for some solace.

Thomas Miller clapped his hands and laughed loudly then said, "Miss Green you were amazing out there, it's true that you are indeed very talented, I liked your piece of music very much." Thomas miller's fat pig hand once again extended toward Ava, wanting to hold her waist.

Ava casually avoided and with an apology, she said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Miller, I need to use the restroom" she turned and left without waiting for him to respond.

Ava was disgusted by Thomas miller and cursed him from the bottom of her heart. However, what hurt her most was Jacobs's nonchalant behavior. Although she wasn't in the city for all these years and didn't pay much attention to the gossip but even she also knew about Thomas miller's fetish with young girls who played music. On the other side of the club, Uncle Joe saw Thomas Miller of the TM group, he quickly made a call and soon found out why he was there. He turned to Oliver and said, "Mr. Knight, That's Ava Green the heir of Green Enterprise. She is here to discuss an account with Thomas Miller." He gave Oliver a meaningful look.

Thomas Miller is famous for being lecherous in the city. He didn't even know himself, how many women he had slept with so far. It is always someone new in his bed and it wouldn't be surprising if he caught on any disease from all the unprotected sex. He is known to make moves on women who could play musical instruments, it's said he has some kind of weird kink. He likes to watch the women play instruments naked in the bedroom and sometimes fuck them from behind while they are still playing. Everyone in the city is aware that many girls from the Music Academy have ambiguous relationships with him. Thomas Miller is very generous and spends a lot of money on these women so naturally, for money, they didn't mind sleeping with the old bastard.

Oliver looked at Ava's angel face with disgust and thought, what a beautiful and dignified face yet such a loose character. For money, she was even willing to sleep with a sleazy bastard like Miller. Uncle Joe already knew what Oliver meant he didn't bother to follow him. Looks like his employer was in the mood to have fun. His so-called 'No escape' must mean Ava Green's 'No escape' from Oliver Knight. He sighed and left the club thinking, Ava Green you would suffer a great loss tonight.

On the way to the restroom, Ava's head felt heavy. She couldn't understand what was happening. Was it because of the alcohol? But she just had one glass. She stood in front of the washbasin and looked at herself in the mirror, she had delicate makeup, red lips, and flushed cheeks. She sighed heavily, turned on the tap, and threw some water on her face and neck, but she suddenly felt her body heating up, her vision was getting blurry and her head felt dizzy. Ava got a little scared, she had a bad feeling in her heart. She needed to get out of there as soon as possible.

Ava walked out of the restroom with unsteady steps and lowered head. She wasn't aware of the path ahead, suddenly she came to a halt after hitting a hard wall. Ava looked up and realized it was not a wall but a man's chest. She quickly took a step back, steadied herself, and said softly, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." Ava moved passed the man without even paying attention to who he was, she just wanted to get out of there.

However, what she didn't know was, a pair of sinister eyes were staring at her every move. Ava had already moved passed the man when she suddenly felt a hard push by a great force. Ava was so surprised by the sudden attack that she lost the ability to think. By the time she came back to her senses, she felt the cold wall behind her back and when she looked up to see who her attacker was she could only see the pair of scary deep dark eyes then she lost consciousness.

In the private corner, Jacob poured more wine for Thomas Miller and said with a humble smile, "Mr. Miller, I'd like to toast you".

Thomas Miller smiled deeply and said cunningly, "Mr. Adam, are you sure you want to trade your little girlfriend for the account?"

Jacob had no hesitation in his eyes, instead, hatred flashed in his eyes for a second before fleeting completely. He said indifferently with a lazy smile, "Of course, isn't it just a woman?"

Thomas Miller raised his eyes and showed his admiration for Jacob's ambition and smiled with satisfaction, feeling very happy.

"Mr. Miller, that contract..." Jacob paused and smiled.

"Don't worry, I'll ask my secretary to deliver the contract to you in person tomorrow." Thomas Miller said wickedly. He was a shrewd businessman, how could he just hand over the account without having the benefit first?

Jacob cursed him in his mind, he was hoping to sign the contract tonight. Anyway tonight, or tomorrow it didn't matter, the account will be his eventually. So he kept his smile on his face and said, "OK, then I'll leave you to have fun with Ava tonight Mr. Miller." Jacob winked and left the club happily.
