The Deep Dark eyes

Uncle Joe left Ava in the huge lounge. She looked around and was already impressed by the high-definition interior of the room. Everything here screamed money and comfort, the life of rich people, Ava thought. After admiring the space for a while Ava changed her clothes and threw her old clothes in the bin. It was a simple but elegant light green wrap dress that came up to her knee. Ava was amazed at how the dress fitted her so nicely hugging every curve of her body. She wondered how Uncle Joe got her size so correctly. Ava came in front of the mirror to see how she looked in the dress but when she looked at herself in the mirror she flinched. No wonder Uncle Joe said she needed to touch up my makeup, she felt so embarrassed at the moment that she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself inside, is that how she entered one of the leading companies in this city?

Her hair looked like a bird's nest on her, her eyes were red and puffy, and a light bruise formed on the right corner of her lips from the slap she got from her attacker. She looked like she has gotten into a catfight. Technically she did try to fight off those men. If she came here alone today the guard at the gate of the company might think she had escaped from a mental asylum. Ava sighed and went to the washroom to clean herself. She washed her face, brushed her hair, and touched up her makeup mainly to hide the bruise and her puffy eyes. When she looked presentable, she came out of the room.

Uncle Joe was standing in the hallway holding his phone in his hand waiting for Ava. He saw her coming out of the lounge, he smiled at her politely and said, "Miss Green, this way please."

They walked through some office rooms which were mostly empty because it was already past work time and reached a spacious set of doors. Ava felt very nervous the moment she stood in front of Oliver's office. Uncle Joe gently knocked on the door and a magnetic deep voice came from inside.

"Come in!"

Ava's heart missed a beat. The door of the office opened automatically but she stood frozen outside.

Uncle Joe said lightly, "Miss Green, please go inside, he is waiting for you."

"What?... Yeah!" Ava swallowed hard and took a step forward.

Ava entered Oliver's office with light steps and an uncomfortable heart. She was so tensed she felt her whole body go rigid. Ava looked around the ample space in awe. The layout of the office was simple yet stylish, it was mostly decorated in grey and white color using minimal furniture.

There was a large desk at the back of the room, and a few expensive low file cabinets on one side of the wall. One of the corners of the room had a set of lavish sofas and a coffee table, opposite which a huge flat-screen tv was hanging on the wall. On the other side of the room, there was a huge floor-to-ceiling window.

A man was standing in front of the window, with his back toward Ava. He was in a white fitted shirt and formal grey suit pants, his well-cut suit pants covered his strong long legs, and he was wearing an expensive pair of brown leather shoes. Ava admired the man's taste in clothes even before she could see his face.

At that moment it was dusk, the round setting sun was hanging in the western sky, dyeing a large portion of the sky red and orange. The man was enjoying the beauty of nature standing tall, hands in his pocket, looking so elegant. He was probably around 6 feet, against the light he looked like a greek god. The man didn't speak a word since Ava entered, but he gave away a sense of majesty that made the atmosphere around him very heavy.

Ava didn't know what to do so she decided to greet him first, "Hello! Mr. Knight!" Ava said in a low but clear voice but her voice shook a bit. Ava cursed herself in her mind, wondering why she was so nervous. It's not like she stole his goat.

Oliver slowly turned around hand still in his pockets, the movement was natural yet very graceful like he just turned on a fashion show runway. His features were delicate, he had thick and neat eyebrows, his nose was high and sharp, high cheekbones, a strong jaw, inviting full lips, and dark eyes with thick eyelashes. He was so handsome that he could charm thousands of girls in minutes.

Ava observed and admired each feature of his face until her eyes met his dark eyes. Ava's eyes widen instantly as she took two steps back. She didn't know that face, but she would never forget those eyes. Those deep dark eyes! They were so deep that they had the ability to glimpse at someone's soul and destroy it in a second.

It was him!
