Sister's by heart

Ava took Sarah to the mall for a meal, then to cheer her up a little she took her shopping. She bought her a few dresses and made her change into a new one, then they headed toward the Green Villa. Uncle Joe followed the two sisters the whole time and didn't leave until they got inside their house.

It was already half-past ten when they got home, they entered the house tiptoeing not intending to disturb James and Lilly. When Ava turned on the living room light she was stunned to see Lilly was still sitting on the sofa with drowsy eyes.

Lilly felt the light was on and immediately opened her eyes. "Sarah, Ava, what are you two doing together? Where did you go, Sarah?" Lily got up from the sofa and looked at the two girls worriedly.

Ava smiled stiffly and replied, "Sarah and I went to the cinema. Mom, why are you still up so late?"

"You two are unbelievable, do you know how worried I was about you, Sarah? Couldn't you at least call me and let me know that you were with Ava?" Lilly said angrily. She had been trying to call Sarah since she got home but her phone was switched off.

"I am sorry Aunt Lilly my phone was out of battery so I couldn't inform you and later we got into talking and forgot," Sarah said gently but didn't look at Lilly.

If Lily was not so tired and sleepy, she would definitely see the wrong expression on Sarah's face but fortunately, she didn't notice. She yawned and went back to her bedroom to sleep.

Ava and Sarah both felt relieved and went back to their bedroom. After taking the bath the two sisters lay on the bed and talked.

Ava wanted to comfort Sarah but didn't know what to say. Her voice sounded a little tired when she said, "Sarah, I am sorry for what happened today, I know you were traumatized because of the incident."

Sarah reached out and held Ava's hand then said, "Sis, why are you being so formal with me? And why are you keep saying sorry? It was not your fault and I don't blame you for what happened today."

Ava knew a sensible child like her would never blame her but she still felt very guilty.

"Ava, what happened today, was it related to Brother Oliver?" Although Sarah was young but she was not stupid. She understood this must have something to do with Oliver's ex-girlfriend after all he was always associated with different women.

"Yes, Sarah, it's a bit complicated. Don't worry about it and don't think too much ok! I will never let anything like this happen again, I swear!" Ava suddenly held Sarah's hand tightly thinking what if she couldn't find her today? God knows what that crazy woman had planned to do with her.

"I know Ava, but you also need to stop blaming yourself, it was not your fault." Sarah could understand Ava's mood, she knew her well. Although it was difficult for her to forget what had happened but she didn't want to let Ava know how scared she was, Sarah knew that will only make Ava blame herself more for what happened.

Ava also could see through Sarah's mind she knew even if she was scared she wouldn't show it in her face at all. Ava sighed and hugged her to comfort her. Thank god Sarah was a strong child and didn't need any counseling, otherwise, incidents like this would often leave a deep shadow in people's minds, without counseling it's hard to return to their normal life.

"Sis, are you and Brother Oliver serious?" Sarah suddenly asked. After they had dinner the other night she wanted to ask Ava but never got the chance.

"For now, yes we are. But I am not sure about our relationship yet. I always feel like I am not suitable to fit into his life. There is so much status gap between us. This is the reason I didn't want to reveal the relationship to mom and dad yet. I wanted to be sure this is going to last before I tell them." Ava said lightly.

"Do you love him? If you love him then why bother about other things. Just love him and be happy." Sarah said seriously.

"Little girl, when did you learn so much about feelings?" Ava touched Sarah's head and thought her cousin was more mature than her at this age.

When Ava was seventeen or eighteen years old, she was so focused on Piano and her career that she didn't even have time to think about love and relationship. In fact, that was the reason she refused Jacob even though she liked him. She was so naïve she didn't understand love at that time. However, Sarah seems to know and understand love and feelings.

"Well, last semester in our class many students approached each other to pursue love, which got Mr. Evan worried because he thought that if we were so focused on love at such early age, then we will ignore our studies and our grades will drop. So in order to make us understand the seriousness of love and relationship, he once took a special class and taught us many things. I remember a sentence that Mr. Evan said, impressed me very much. He said that today's constraint is only for meeting better people in the future." Sarah's eyes were full of yearning. There were several boys chasing her in their class, but she didn't like any of them. She felt they were too childish she liked mature men like Mr. Evan and Brother Oliver.

Ava smiled and said, "Well, Mr. Evan is really attentive."

"Yes, he is. Ava, if you don't end up with Brother Oliver, I still hope you date Mr. Evan." Sarah said straightforwardly. She still thought Mr. Evan was a good match for Ava.

Ava smiled and said lightly. "Sarah, love is not a food that you just make do, if not this then that. When you fall in love one day, you will understand that no one is willing to compromise in love, even though they don't know what the future holds."

"But we know who we like at a glance, don't we?" Sarah asked with a smile.

Ava's hazel eyes narrowed slightly in the dark and she asked cautiously: "Sarah, do you like someone?"

"Sure, I like Chris Evans. He is so handsome and hot, I would like to marry him." Sarah said while laughing loudly.

Ava also laughed and shook her head helplessly, "Silly, there are many people lined up, who want to marry him!"

"I don't care. He is so hot I want to touch his six-pack Abs."

"Silly girl, Sleep," Ava said laughing.

"Sis, does Brother Oliver have six-packs?" Sarah suddenly thought of Oliver, although the day she met him he was wearing a suit but she could tell he was in a good shape.

"Well, yes he does." Ava thought of Oliver and her mouth unconsciously rise up to a beautiful smile.

The night went deep but the two sisters kept talking until dawn.
