Heart trouble
Jason was lost, he had no idea why his CEO was babbling about love like he has lost the one he loves. Isn't Miss Ava the love of his life and his wife? Then what was he talking about? Did they have a fight or something? Jason wondered.
"CEO Sherman, What are you talking about? Don't you and Miss Ava have such a good relationship? Did you two have a fight or something?" Jason asked cautiously. Daniel and Ava's relationship was the talk of the town these days, everyone could see how lovely and perfect the couple was. In fact, people at the office were very envious of their relationship.
"No, no fights. Come on, drive carefully and send me home." Daniel chuckled and looked outside. The moon was full tonight, he stared at the moon but felt really lonely as he leaned against the window.
Jason didn't say anything else. He just concentrated on his driving. He always believed love was not for everyone, some people in love will gain everything and some will lose everything. It has nothing to do with him. He was a simple assistant whose job was to obey his CEO's orders.
Ava's house at Bay,
After spending the day with Sarah, in the evening she dropped her at Ben's birthday party but after a few hours, she called Ava and asked her to pick her up from the party. Ava already knew something must have happened for Sarah to call her like that so she didn't waste any time and quickly went to pick her up. When Ava reached there, Sarah was standing by the road and crying. Ava didn't ask anything she just took her in her arm and bought her into her house at Bay.
After they freshen up, Ava and Sarah were seating in the guest room, talking about her heart troubles. "Sarah, What's going on? Why don't you admit that you love Ben and put both of you out of misery? What's the point of this suffering?" Ava pulled Sarah into her arm and asked frustrated. Although Sarah didn't say what happened, she still understood it has something to do with Ben and her.
Sarah didn't answer Ava instead she said, "Elder sister, I am sorry for calling you like this, don't worry about me. I am just a little upset right now. Once I sleep it off, I will be completely fine." Sarah took a deep breath and put on a smile on her face. However, her red swollen eyes and the fake smile were making it very obvious that she was far from ok.
Ava pursed her lips and said softly, "Sarah, will you stop being so stubborn? I know this is your life and I should let you decide for yourself but trust me, real love doesn't come knocking on the door every day. You are really lucky to find it at such a young age, try to hold onto it because once you lose it, you might never find it again. Ben really loves you, Sarah, don't let him go, you will regret it." Suddenly Oliver's face flashed unconsciously in Ava's mind. She blinked and tried to clear her mind. Why did she think of Oliver suddenly?
"Sister, I have already lost him today. I told him that I like someone else, and he will soon forget me. There are so many beautiful girls around him he will soon fall in love with someone else. Do you know how many beautiful girls came to his party tonight, I am nowhere near them." Sarah said laughing bitterly.
"Sarah, why did you lie to him like that, and why are you comparing yourself with other girls? Don't you think if Ben liked those girls, he wouldn't have wasted all these years chasing after you? He loves you because you are not them, silly. And who did you say you like?" Ava was speechless because of her sister's stupidity. Why would she do such a thing to drive Ben away?
Sarah lowered her head and said in a barely audible voice, "Mr. Evan. "
"Sam?"
Sarah nodded timidly, afraid Ava will really be angry with her. Honestly, she didn't even know why she did it, she just panicked and felt that she had to push Ben away and seeing Samuel at the restaurant, she thought of using him as a shield. Besides Ben was well aware that Sarah didn't have any male friends except him so he wouldn't have believed it if she said it was someone else.
Ava indeed got a bit angry not because Sarah was using Sam it was actually because she was worried about her. Sarah was confident and would take up any challenge without any hesitation when it comes to her study or work, however, when it comes to love she would always hesitate and get scared, as a result, she would eventually mess things up like she just did. "Sarah, are you crazy? What were you thinking? Do you understand what you have done? Ben will misunderstand you now because of your lies."
"Sister, I think it's better for him to misunderstand me and move on. It's really impossible between him and me. Ben is like a star up in the sky , how a girl like me dream about having such a star from the ground? I have always known there is a huge status gap between him and me. I have seen the girls who chase after him, all are capable and have very good backgrounds. I am a nobody compared to them.Ben's family will never accept a girl whose parents are such digress. Then there is Amy, who also is in love with Ben. I have thought about this sister and even if you scold me I will still believe what I did was right today." Sarah said as tears started to run down her cheeks. She knew tonight she not only broke Ben's heart but also her own heart but she still stubbornly did it so that Ben could forget her and move on. She was not worthy of anyone's love, all she can do is to be happy by seeing Ben happy with someone he deserved.
Ava was so angry that she was about to explode. She was going to scold her again when she heard the sound of a car engine stopping in her front yard. She realized it must be Daniel. She didn't want to talk about Ben in front of Daniel, so she calmed herself down and said, "Daniel is here, let's not talk about it right now. But Sarah we are not done talking. I don't agree with how you handled this matter. Think about it. Now take some rest."
