Kiara sneered but instead of taking the card immediately, she blinked and said, "Why Mia? Don't tell me you don't need that money because I know that you do."

"Yes I do, but I have principles I want to earn my money with honesty not by selling my friends. I am sorry but I can't hurt my best friend anymore." Mia said bravely, she knew she was doing the right thing here so she was not afraid of Kiara anymore.

"Mia, why do you say that, don't you think by working with me you are actually helping your best friend?" Kiara said with a serious look on her face, still trying to pursue Mia with her sweet and poisonous words.

Mia held the card in her hand and with a bright smile she said, "Thank you, Miss Anderson, but I would rather help my friend without working for you."

Kiara could see that Mia had already made up her mind and she wouldn't be able to change it so she didn't waste more time on her, she had a better pawn in her hand anyway.

"Alright, if that's what you really want, as for those clothes, you don't have to give them back to me. I told you those were for the exchange of the information you gave me last time." Kiara said in an understanding tone.

Mia was surprised to see Kiara was being so understanding and letting her go that easily and on top of that, she was also letting her keep the clothes. Was she that generous? However she didn't want to think about it right now, she just wanted to be done with her and not let Ava find out.

Mia said softly, "Thank you, Miss Anderson, you are really very kind. I would like to request you to keep this between us please."

"Don't worry, I know. I really thought we could be friends, it's a pity that you think otherwise," Kiara said with a gentle smile and pretended to be sad.

"Ok Miss Anderson, I'll leave then," Mia said lowering her head, she suddenly felt guilty hearing Kiara's sad tone. She quickly stood up and left.

Ava had two more operations in the afternoon by the time she finished work it was already evening. The sun had set and the sky was dark, Ava took the elevator to the parking lot, she was exhausted. Just as Ava got out of the elevator someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the side of the elevator. Ava was so shocked that it took a while for her to react, when she did she was even more surprised to see the person in front of her.

She hadn't seen him since Vegas, where did he come from all of a sudden? And what does he want from her? Ava looked around and saw Ethan was not alone there were three other men with huge bodies and scary faces just behind her.

Ava panicked and started to shout "Somebody help...." But before she could finish, one of the men quickly covered her mouth. Since it was late the parking lot was completely empty, even if she shouted there was a doubt anyone would come for her rescue unless the security guard saw it in the surveillance camera.

"Don't worry, Miss Green I am not here to hurt you. I just need to talk to you. Please cooperate and come with me." In the dimly lit underground parking, Ethan looked very scary but in his dark gray suit, he looked very old.

Ava saw Ethan's evil face, she felt very uncomfortable. She started to struggle and Ethan cast a glance at the man, he let go of Ava immediately.

"Mr. Smith, what do you want from me?" Ava tried to calm down, she looked back and saw two of the men were standing on both sides of her. The elevator was in front of her but Ethan was there with another man blocking it, so she had no way out. She suddenly had a bad feeling about Ethan's visit.

"Well, Miss Green underground parking lot is not a decent place to talk, let's go somewhere sit down and talk comfortably, what do you think?" Ethan said calmly and so casually as if he was inviting a friend for a coffee.

Ava was well aware of what kind of person Ethan was so she couldn't be fooled by his friendly attitude. She knew he must be thinking of holding her hostage to negotiate with Oliver. It must be about the land and the most scary thing is Oliver wasn't even in the country. Ava decided to buy some time, she was sure someone will notice her here.

"Mr. Smith, I don't think there is anything we have to talk about. I am a nobody, you have no use of me." Ava said trying hard to stay calm.

"Miss Green, I am sorry to do this but I am really helpless. Please cooperate otherwise I won't be polite to you next time. And whether you have any use to me or not you will find it soon enough." Ethan warned coldly.

Ava swallowed hard and looked at Ethan a little scared then said, "Fine if you want to talk, let's talk here. I won't go anywhere with you!"

"Drag her away," Ethan said impatiently. He didn't have time to play games with her here.

"Yes!" Three people in Black said loudly and took a step toward Ava.

Ava shouted: "help..." and a man pulled her arm almost breaking it and she cried out in pain.

"Be careful, don't hurt her," Ethan said with a cold expression.

At that time, a tall and handsome man came running from the distance and stood a few feet away from them, then he said coldly. "If I was you I wouldn't do that".

All the men including Ava were stunned hearing the voice.
