Conversation between the father and son

Oliver stared at them with sad eyes and thought how did she change so much? She was even mocking him today along with Daniel. He crouched down and said, "Orion why did you say that? I told you to behave yourself, didn't I? "

"But he was insulting you. I don't like anyone insulting my dad." Orion said with some grief in his tone.

Oliver sighed and walked toward the ice crème cart. He knew Orion was very protective of him after all it was only the two of them.

"Dad, the lady you were talking to just now, I don't like her," Orion said unhappily.

Oliver felt stressed; he didn't realize Orion had grown so much dislike for Ava. He didn't know how he was going to make his son understand but for now, he was going to leave it as it is. Until Ava comes around he will not give any hope to the little boy.

Oliver bought ice crème for Orion and handed it to him. "Here's your ice crème."

The father and son started to walk around the zoo as Orion was enjoying his ice crème. Suddenly Orion looked at Oliver and asked, "Dad, did you bring me here today to meet her?"

Oliver was stunned and once again cursed himself. Looks like his son has caught his intentions again. "Orion, you are being too naughty these days. If you keep behaving like this then I will send you to your grandparents."

"I don't want to go to my grandparents, I will go to Aunt Erika or my godmother's. "

Oliver sighed in his heart. His son was becoming more and more unruly, he needs to control him and teach him some discipline. He has seen Ava's displeasing face when Orion was arguing. She must think Oliver was not doing a good job as a parent. Which was not a complete lie, Oliver barely gets time to spend with Orion. He was always spoiled by everyone as he was a motherless child. Even Oliver didn't have the heart to scold him sometimes. But he could see his son was getting out of hand, and he needed to fix that.

"Not happening. You are going home and reflect on yourself."

"But Dad, I haven't even seen the tigers and pandas yet," Orion said looking at Oliver with pleading eyes.

"You can see them in the book or on TV," Oliver said angrily as he picked up Orion and walked toward the exit.

"That's not the same. I want to see them here." Orion said stubbornly.

"Orion Knight!" Oliver shouted out his full name and looked at Orion angrily. He didn't know what gotten into him today, usually, Orion was a very sensible and quiet boy but today he was being too stubborn.

"If you make trouble again, I will send you to the boarding school."

"But dad it's summer vacation now. All the schools are closed." Orion said with a wide smile.

"Yes, the schools are closed but you know to discipline difficult children like you, your kindergarten teachers, Miss. Yu and Miss. Ren will be very happy to have you." Oliver scolded Orion.

Orion immediately shut his mouth hearing about Miss Yu and Miss Ren. They were his kindergarten teachers, they both were young and beautiful but they were very strict. Orion has always been very scared of them so he behaved well at school. Now if his father tells them he has been naughty, then they will definitely punish him.

"I am sorry Dad, I was wrong. I will not do it again, and I'll be obedient." Orion said in a low voice with tears in his eyes.

Oliver opened the door and helped Orion sit on the passenger seat then he turned toward the driving seat.

"Well, being sorry doesn't mean all is forgotten. You will still need to go home and reflect on yourself. I have spoiled you too much, I think I need to teach you some discipline."

Just like that the father and son ended their argument. Oliver started the car and drove silently.

After a while, Orion said, "Dad, I don't know why I got so angry but the lady we just met looked very familiar and I didn't like the way she was talking to you. I actually liked her when she was talking to the little girl." Orion suddenly remembered Ava's warm face when she kissed the girl. He wished someone would love him like that.

Oliver smiled and looked at his son from the corner of his eyes then said, "Is that so? Then how about we make her your mother?"

"But I already have my godmother and I prefer her as my mother."

"But Orion, dad doesn't like your godmother, she is just a friend to me. Dad likes the lady we just met, so what do you think we should do?" Oliver said as he observed Orion's reaction through the corner of his eyes.

Orion thought for a while then said, "Well, if you like her so much, you can go after her. She is very beautiful so Orion can compromise. But dad isn't she already married?"

Oliver rubbed his son's head affectionately, and said with a smile: "little thing, you really have a wide mind."

Orion didn't say anything else and Oliver kept driving.

"Do you remember Mackie?" Oliver suddenly asked.

Orion nodded his head and said, "Of course, the pianist. She is very good, I really like her music."

Oliver looked at Orion and saw his eyes were full of admiration. Oliver smiled and said, "Do you know you just met her?"

"What? Are you telling me the lady we just met at the zoo was actually Mackie?" Orion's eyes widen as he asked excitedly. Since the night he heard Mackie he has already become her fan. If he knew it was Mackie at the zoo, he would have behaved well. Now he was regretting talking to her husband so rudely.

Oliver smiled, "Yes, she is Mackie."

Orion didn't say anything else, he was already lost in the thought of Mackie and her music. All the hatred and resentment he felt earlier was gone in an instant and a warm feeling filled his heart.
