1 Maze Garden

She found herself with a group of people. A group of people which happens to be her friends, and some, were she knew their lives about. These group of people she's together with mostly were young people, although there were also middle aged ones. Most of them were Filipinos but there were some who were of mixed race both males and females.

All of them were in front of a unique garden. And to her amazement, this unique garden was actually a garden of a maze!

People were questioning what were they doing there in front of the maze garden. And when nobody among them could answer, suddenly, a thick loud powerful male voice could be heard hovering all over the place...

"This is a challenge for all of you and you will be tested. As you all will enter into the maze garden, each one of you will be tested. Your endurance, perseverance, both physical and emotional strength, durability, patience, alertness, common sense, and every thing in you and your life will be tested. Those who will succeed among you will be greatly rewarded at the end of the maze." from the powerful male voice.

Upon hearing the powerful male voice, people began reacting...

"What? This is actually a challenge? I thought it is just a game?" a guy raised his brows.

"Looks like we will gonna have to get ready for the challenge then." a girl reacted in dismay.

"Prior to this, we were not informed. Why are we here in the first place?" questioned another guy.

"It's like a surprise competition that we don't actually know about." pouted the other girl.

But Marie and her bestfriend Mario didn't really vocally reacted. For both of them, it might be hard and challenging, but they are up for the challenge. They both have zeal and adrenaline to go for it and face whatever they needed to face and undergo to have stand up to the test.

"Marie, are you ready for this?" Mario asked Marie in a whisper.

"Yes, why not?" smiled Marie with great enthusiasm.

"Are you sure?" verified Mario.

"Yes, I'm sure. Why, are you not up for this? Are you chickening out?" teased Marie.

Noticing the fiery enthusiasm that Marie has, Mario then agreed, "If you're totally sold out and up for it, then I, Mario, your bestfriend, will definitely be up for it as well." Mario saluted to her.

So they both get ready with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Soon after, they all heard the powerful male voice again...

"On your mark... get set... go!"

So they all ran to the entrance of the maze. To their amazement, the space between the walls of the maze is so wide that all of them could fit in it.

But as soon as they enter inside the maze, each of them went to different directions and parts of the maze.

Only the two bestfriends were left, Marie and Mario, for they decided to stick together and would gladly help each other when needed. And so they started walking hand in hand to the inner part of the maze.

As they passes by, they discovered that one of the guys who were running with them as they entered the maze earlier, has become part of the leafy wall of the maze. His eyes were wide open while he seemed had struggled to get away but couldn't. They checked if he is still alive but it was too late, he's dead already even before they arrived at that part of the maze.

At this, they both shivered in fear of what could have happened to them. If they both rushed and was not too careful, they could both have eneded up being part of the wall just like this guy had...

"Wow, that was scary!" Mario still shivering some.

"Tell me about it! We should be more extra careful then so we wouldn't end up like him then." whisphered Marie to Mario.

"Yeah, yeah! We should be more extra careful indeed." agreed Mario.

"Let's go and continue our journey then." Marie held Mario's hand and dragged him a bit.

While Mario nodded and then cope up with Marie.

All of a sudden a bull appeared at their right side, and out of their quick reflexes, they ran side steps to their left and then ran forward to get away from the bull while turning thier heads at the back to see if the bull was following them.

At a split second, they saw the bull ran towards near the entrance of the maze and thrust its horns to a guy who was behind them. The guy instantly died at the sudden stab of the horns struck directly to his heart and lungs.

Shocked at the sight they had witnessed, they used almost all their strength to ran aimlessly away from the bull. And the bull disappeared from their sight afterwards...
