Tales of Old

It was a fairly warm morning with the sun out of the clouds, casting a fairly brilliant glow to James’ office. But that was the extent of it when contrarily Mark came into the office with a serious look.

‘James, we have a situation.’ Mark said in a calm but serios tone just as James’ had finished wording his 15-page mail to his correspondent in China.

Julia who happened to be present in the room seemed visibly surprised. A man of the stature of Mark was not known to be agitated.

No, for the average person he was calm as the word could define. But Julia has known Mark for as long as she had been working with James. She had facilitated many of their meetings official as well as casual. And never in her life has she seen him this agitated. She knew instantly that something was wrong, and it was serious.

‘What is it?’ James asked.
