1 NEW TO EARTH

Herica just arrived as a baby and she was confused because she didn't understand any of this. Mrs vanessa, herica's earthly mother held her and kissed her cheek. "My angel has arrived" she said with joy. The nurses adored herica, then the doctor checked the baby, he was confused " her eyes looks suspicious" the doctor said. "What do you mean?" Mrs vanessa asked. "I don't know, I've never seen anything like this but make sure you keep an eye on her, don't let her eat anything incompatible for her health" the doctor said. Mrs vanessa looks at her child worryingly and said "you're okay, nothing's wrong with you".

Few days later after mrs vanessa has been ejected from the hospital, she came up with a name for her child "clara". Herica cried "𝑜ℎ 𝑔𝑜𝑠ℎ 𝑖 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑒" she thought. "Oh shhh, shhh, sorry dear" her mother said trying to calm her down. "I'm so sorry clara, mum's here for you" she said, as herica cried louder. "You don't like the name?" She asked. Herica stopped crying and tries to talk "wee-ca" she stammered. Mrs veronica was surprised and she laughed "you...you..you just talked!! Wee-ca? Herica?" She asked. Herica started laughing and her mother was astonished by what just happened "I'll call you herica" she said.

Herica became used to her earthly mom and she loved her just the way she love her real mother, her mom vanessa taught herica everything about earth. Many years later after herica grew up she became scared of attending high school because of the new people she'd meet, she didn't have a friend when she was little, so she didn't know how to make one and she wasn't sure if she needed any.

There was a certain day herica was watering the plants in her garden and she said to herself "I didn't know you have to make your own decisions here on earth, it's so different from mars and everything's difficult", "herica what did you say?" her mother asked to make sure what she heard was clear, "sorry mom I was just thinking about something else" Herica said, "hurry up and go inside, you need to go to school tomorrow" her mom said, herica sighed "why school again?" She asked, "its for your own good" her mother answered. "Ok whatever" herica said.

NEXT DAY

Vanessa drove herica to school, gladly it wasn't too far from her home, "come home when you're done" her mom said and drove to work. Herica looked up at the gate, "it's so big" she said and went in.

Male teacher: sorry excuse me, are you the new teacher?

Herica: um...good morning sir and yes I am

Male teacher: oh that's great, let me take you to your class.

Herica followed the teacher, there were so many students in the class she couldn't say a word.

"Please take your seat" the teacher instructed.

Later on, herica introduced herself and class went on.

Herica brought out her books "can i see yours?" She asked nikita. "Sure here they are" nikita replied and gave hers to herica.

"So, where are you from?" Sandra asked, "um..sorry, maybe I'll tell you that another time" herica replied. "Oh ok" sandra said with a smile.

As time went on nikita, sandra, kiara, kara and herica were getting closer.

Hours later the school bell rang, "bye" herica said and waved. "Hey, wait up, aren't you gonna finish up the notes at home, you can take mine" sandra said.

"Thanks, that's so nice of you, but maybe I'll do that tomorrow" herica said and left. She finally got home, "so how was school today?" Vanessa asked, "it wasn't that weird, and i made some friends.

"Really, that's early" vanessa said. "Yes mom, i know and I'm perfectly sure those are the four girls my dad talked about when i was younger" herica said while taking off her shoes.

"You have to be careful herica, i don't want anything bad to happen to you, you're my only child, and you're not even my biological daughter, so you have to be careful in everything you do" vanessa said sadly. Herica walked to her mother and hugged her "don't worry mom, i won't leave you, and i promise I'll be careful" herica said.

A year later, herica and her friends had grew stronger and closer.

"So you were really born in Mars, you're an alien?" Nikita asked. "Not actually, but yes, i want us to take a picture together, excuse me beauty can you please take a selfie of both of us?" Herica asked.

"Yeah, sure" beauty replied and helped them take a selfie. "Wow, thanks, its really beautiful" herica said.
