Ch~Thirty>Two: Exploring Netherensis // Generous Rewards

Jae spent the rest of the day with the group. He now had time to interact with them so they could catch up on friendly stuffs. Mina also offered to show Jae around the academy. It was then he noticed that apart from his movement outside the academy and in the Special Hunter House, he had not been to any other places in the academy. It turns out that the moment Mina, Solomon and Soji arrived, they all started exploring the academy.

Of course there were some places that were prohibited to be, so they only went to where they were permitted. Jae immediately agreed much to Mina's joy. She dragged him out of the Hunter House and started showing him around. Jae was surprised to see many things and places and then realized that Netherensis was very big.

Mina brought him to meet some acquaintances he had almost forgotten. When he saw Ezek and Emmy, he discovered that they were at the peak level of Iron Rank; Level 10 Iron Rank Hunters. They were preparing to breakthrough to the Bronze Rank. Jae felt like an arrow had been embedded deep into his heart after that discovery. Even if the Mythical Enemies can surpass him, he could accept that since they were Special Type Hunters but other categories of Hunters had surpassed him, he who possesses a system.

What Jae didn't know was that at the Iron Rank, a person can easily become stronger. Even an untalented person can breakthrough to the Bronze Rank in a month or two talk less of geniuses. The challenges Hunters would faced in their cultivation would only start from Bronze Rank which would then become increasingly harder to progress.

Following that, Mina took him to various places like Training Ground, Library, Treasure Palace, Quest Hall etc.... After everything was done, the sky darkened so Mina reluctantly took Jae home. Jae thanked her for her work making her blush in happiness before he went back to his room. Thinking of the powerful students and teachers he saw today made him realise how weak he was, but he wasn't feeling down, rather his eyes burned with the flames of determination. He promised as from tomorrow, he would train until he becomes bald like a certain person and he screamed 'YOUTH!!!!!!!' in his mind like a certain person. Then, off to sleep he goes, off to dreamland he went.

He woke up very late in the afternoon the next day, feeling very energized. Today was going to be a hell of a day. Why was he feeling this way, this was making him feel that way.

'wow, so I got a night vision type of eyes, so great!' Jae didnt know whether he should cry or laugh. 'The Doujutsu had a tag of Unique on it! Damn! I will get back to that later. Now the last one is the one bothering me.'

Gray Orb..... that happened not too long ago, I think I should take the memories. I might get something useful from it' Jae quietly thought of the incidents happening. He decided he would fuse with the memories.

'System, I agree to fuse with my Predecessor's Memories... but first, I have to do something, so postpone it for now" Jae said in his mind as he then stood up and went to the shower. He felt like letting off some steams from his body. Maybe its due to the new abilities he just acquired.

So what do you guys think about the chapter? Was the rewards too much or less?

I just thought of making him a little more powerful. My hands are itching to write down [RasenShuriken!!!] and [Kirin!!!!] [Susano'o!!!] and [Shinra Tensei!!!!] but I guess I gotta hold on and make the story progress so I wouldn't ruin it.

About the [System Eyes], well it is a Unique Doujutsu I prepared for Jae. Its abilities aren't that special or OP as y'all thinking *chuckles* 😏 You would find its uses later.

This month is the last month for my WAEC, its gonna be stressful but all fun (right? 😅😥) so wish me luck guys. After that, we gonna go into full story mode. I'm also going to write a new novel, not a fanfic one coz I'm not giving up on this one. A new novel I'm hoping would change my life for the better.
