"Of course not, it's just that I'm already scared of haunted houses with a 100% chance of survival." Euna rolled her eyes. "Let's do it."

"I'm down." Lyra stood up. "Who's driving?"

"Literally can only be me. I'm not sure why you're asking." Wendy rolled her eyes. "You guys need to get your licenses, seriously."

"Enough small talk, let's get going." Charlotte tugged at the rest and they followed her down the stairs, hobbling after her in a cluster. Reaching the first floor, Charlotte raced towards the front door where her shoes were.

"I call shotgun." Lyra declared while she reached for her shoes.

"As always." Euna shot back jokingly.

"Everyone got their shoes on?" Wendy called out while toying with the car keys in one hand.

"Yep." Charlotte responded as she finished up her shoelace.

"Let's go then." Wendy gestured to the door and pulled it open, letting Euna, Charlotte and Lyra dash to the car. Lyra forced the car door open and hopped on her seat; Charlotte and Euna followed suit. Wendy made her way to the car after locking the front door and gets in.

"Holy shit. We're actually doing this." Euna blurted.

"That perfectly describes what I was just thinking." Lyra comments while playing with her hair.

"Make that number 2." Wendy added, exasperated.

"Calm down, guys." Charlotte pouted, "It's going to be fun."

"Don't worry, we believe you." Euna waved a hand dismissively to Charlotte. In response, she only scrunched her nose and turned to face the window. Wendy started the car and began to pull out of the driveway.

"How are we supposed to get in the school once we get there?" Lyra turned over her shoulder and shifts her eyes to Charlotte.

"Right! Do we have a crowbar?" Euna joked sarcastically.

"We don't need anything fancy; they don't lock one of the school entrances." Charlotte replied.

"Which entrance though?" Lyra asked. She fiddled with her palms before returning her focus to the window beside her and the whizzing scenery.

"The gym entrance. If I remember correctly, the door has problems closing properly." Charlotte stopped for a bit, then puts a finger to her chin. "Yeah, that sounds about right."

"Don't you guys think it's a bit strange to break into the school at night?" Wendy remarked from the front of the car. "That legend was from decades ago. Who knows how much the school has improved in terms of security?"

"Isn't that what they'd want you to think?" Euna cut in. Charlotte only lifted a hand and pointed to Euna, nodding.

"Why would a school invest so much security into infrastructure for a time that holds practically no one?"

"Look, I'm just trying to look out for y'all hooligans." Wendy raised her hands in defeat. Charlotte immediately stopped persisting while Euna tried to change the subject.

"Assuming that we do manage to get in, what'll we do first?"

Charlotte pondered for a while. "I say Euna goes by herself to finish her dare while the rest of us explore the school. Aren't you guys curious as to what they keep in the staffroom?"

"No duh, I'm curious!" Lyra agreed. "How about the rest of you guys?"

"We're rocking the same boat." Euna gestured back. Wendy didn't say anything and stared at the rest with a gaping mouth, blinking. After a period of silence, Wendy answered.

"But are we sure this is a good idea?" She turned her head to the side and looked at Charlotte, who was only carrying the same pout on her face.

"It'll be fun!" She repeated from earlier.

"Oookay, crazy." Wendy rolled her eyes. She glanced over to the back of the car where the rest were sitting as a tense expression wiped off Charlotte and she began talking nonchalantly to Lyra and Euna.

Occasionally, the thought crossed Wendy's mind of how she even became friends with them, seeing as she clearly wasn't similar to them in many aspects, but she long ago supposed that it was the same for everyone as well, which it was. In the end, Wendy didn't seem to care. At that moment, she knew she'd do anything for them, even if it was something stupid. Friends must really do that to you, she thought every now and then. Unfortunately, the peaceful feeling didn't last for very long, as an unsettling one replaced it as soon as she saw the school's street.

"We're turning in on the street." Wendy called, uneasy. All small talk died and the car fell into a hush as the four see the school appear on the horizon.

"It's just like in those scary movies." Euna remarked jokingly, staring in amazement.

"Tell me about it." Lyra commented, gazing upon the school.

Wendy froze. "Man our school looks ten times creepier during the nighttime." A grimace flashed across her face but she shook it off. She proceeded to turn the car into a dark spot of the parking lot and park it.

"Alright everyone, let the fun begin." Charlotte said with a wide grin.
