1 Prologue

What kind of dreams does everyone get? A good one or a worst nightmare, and how bad a nightmare can be. It's just a nightmare, so there is nothing to worry. But, just suppose that your nightmare turns out to be your reality. It will be bad, worse and something you can't fight coz' you are scared of it. I had a nightmare, probably the worst one anyone can get. I was just eight years when I got it. I screamed like I was caught by a ghost. They came running to my room, and when I said that I had a nightmare and about it, the next thing was packing my bags to drop me off at my grandpa's home. They never visited me again. It was bad. And now, the weird shit. I stopped to get the nightmares and instead of that I saw the future, about tomorrow. My grandpa works in a bank, he was going to retire next week. I never said him that I can see tomorrow. I made good trustworthy friends in Juneau; to be honest I made only two friends while the rest looked at me like a weirdo. The day came when my grandpa has to retire. But I was tensed like hell. I saw him getting killed in my dream trying to save the civilians from the muggers. He laughed at me when I said it, I was just twelve years and he thought that I watched movies too often. It happened just like in my dream; I wished that I got a nightmare instead of future.

That evening, I sat alone with my grandma. She said that I was special. I realized it lately. That night while we were at dinner someone rang the doorbell. My grandma saw them through a keyhole and came back to me. She took me to her room, gave me some money and said one word "Run!" and so I did. I ran as fast as I can. I never understood what it was. The house blew up and none came to see it. It was like the thing never happened. The cops were looking at me like I was a stranger. It was a whole new reality. I moved away from the city and lived in a place away from Juneau. I lived as a nomad, picking up books that are thrown away, working in café, and everything for living. It was when I reached Rockford, working in a café, the owner showed mercy and allowed me to stay at night and also arranged for my education. He looked at me like I was his family. The nightmare's came to an end. I thought that a new life was waiting for me.
