Chapter 5 (Part 2) Winner Boss Has To Recover and A Very Perplexed Guardian.

She guessed it made sense that it was that durable, considering its cultivation level and its race.

However, Kazu Nini's vision blurred a second and when she stood up from the ground, albeit still covered in her shield, she knew that her mental energy would need time to get back as it naturally recovered and that she would need to leave quickly because that explosion would be a beacon to anyone in the area.

The Pixie did not trust anyone from this area.

She gritted her teeth and shrunk her shield to preserve her mental energy, shrinking the glass she had to only plates, like clay roofing tiles, which would react like reflex and would deflect those of the same cultivation level but only slow down attacks of those higher, and they slowly flew about her as if she had a magnetic field about herself. She used 5% to attend to the worst of her injuries which was a gash in her clavicle to her ribs and her shins but it was not able to heal all of it.

The young Pixie walked a few more steps which she was not certain if they were few anymore because Kazu Nini was not sure of anything but walking forward. After a while, even in her heart beat that seemed to be the only thing in her ears, she felt a danger creeping in on her at a fast speed and with the last of her Ko-ji and mental power, she gathered every glass that she had on her person, congealing it into a circle that only got bigger and bigger.

When danger felt like it was as close as sin to her, she squeezed her hand and the ball burst.

*"Die A Thousand Deaths."*

Needles, that broke the sound barrier for every 1 meter they exceeded, exploded out in a ferocious storm and she hoped that she had struck whoever she had encountered because she passed out after squeezing out the last of her Ko-jin.

After she had fed her a pill, she had watched her color get better before finally relaxing and deciding to make something for the girl.

Mako Nini walked downstairs to begin making food and remembered asking the school of her whereabouts, intending to find out if they hand in whatever had happened to her niece because she assumed that they were in cahoots with the kidnappers but she realized she might have been overthinking it. It had been about noon that day. Even she herself became a rebel in her youth, but it was not normal anymore. She had paid them because the older Pixie had noticed that their movements were being monitored for several months, and Fvil High School knew who she was, so she should not have had to come, but still better every stone unturned.

Nothing could happen to this child.

Mako Nini then remembered that she recalled the incident with the gang and laughed as she had made her way to the police station

cahoots with the kidnappers but she realized she might have been overthinking it.

Mako Nini then remembered that she recalled the incident with the gang and her pause making her laugh as she made her way to the police station. The snow would not have gotten to her anyway but she could not enter the bus; she had to walk this one and process her thoughts as she did not want to destroy the Police Station, if it was not necessary. Under the sun with chilling breezes and snow still scattered about some parts on the road, the others being drained into the underground tanks for snow Mako Nini thought as she walked.

The roads and people and their conversation and transport vehicles all were drowned out in the heat of her thought. She kept her head low, lost in her mind and she crossed roads, avoided shoulders and avoided clumps of dried snow, composing herself for about an hour.

She turned left to witness the Police HQ in Jhoklon. Mako Nini had seen a curved transparent board that hovered before the skyscraper and the glass before it that was sealed in diamond. The pillars that stood after a tall stretch of staircases and before entrance of revolving doors, the other entrance doors used for emergency and staff only.

Mako Nini had walked up to the front desk and some had hushed in her presence. "I need to speak to Gerard Colt."

"We cannot do that for security reasons." The Pixie stood not too tall, gauntlets of glass on her hands.

"Let him know that Mako Nini, the one whose niece was in a case involving a notorious gang that was

somehow released back into public despite everything they have done over the years, has caused trouble. And I, Mako Nini, would not leave until it is resolved."

When the Pixie before her had called the name the first time, the woman in the tucked in navy-blue office suit had scrunched her brows but the second time made her blanch and pick up her Telewatch, typing words into what resembled a watch on her arm, in such a speed it could rival machine guns on earth.

Mako Nini remembered not only taking a breath in when she realized she would have had to bring the whole building down if the girl kept on resisting but also when she was in a room with some officers asking her questions she had not bothered to answer until the one she had met from six months again showed up.

"Your boys are loose." He was not far from half a wall of glass that probably had some other officers there.

The man almost coughed but quickly covered up the awkward statement before he waved them to leave. "What boys are we speaking about?"

She looked at him and considered making him bloody meat on the walls before she laughed cheerily. "You remember six months back when my niece was attacked for a distraction to cover up the real

robbery downtown?"

He spat out the drink in his hand and cleared his throat. "Officially, I know nothing about that, ma."

"One of them," she stilled her body that was vibrating in anger until it was perfectly calm again. "Took

my niece, the same one on that night."

He rubbed his face with his palm and grabbed his hair. "You know how these things work, do not shoot

the messenger. I am just -" He opened his hands. "I did not expect them t-" his words caught ay her stare.

"You know, don't lie."

"People like that..." He shrugged and slapped his beret on the table. " Everyone's pockets... Every one

who matters." He let out a helpless sigh, "what would you do, if you were me?"

She looked at him and asked him a question. "What keeps a servant as a servant, especially if the

master used economical means or bribes or blackmail to reach that position?"

" That is a very specific ques-"

"Fear or benefits or both." She looked at him in disappointment as she had been made to answer her own question and every second here meant whatever was happening to Kazu Nini was probably still happening.

"What will you have me do?" Now he was frowning. She could see the frustration of always looking up

to people about to erupt. "I am but a pawn"

"If everyone is going to die one day, then they might as well on their feet." She saw him about to try and defend himself, so she interjected. "I am just a guardian trying to recover her niece. What would you do if it were you?" Turning his question back at him the silence lingered in the air.

She saw his face lighten up and an emotion cross his face before he dropped his beret on the table.

Mako Nini remembered that she had left in a slightly better mood, as even though he had not dropped names, he had given her a location - so she was now on road a flat sheet of glass that covered 5 miles in 20 minutes and was met with a peculiar sight.

Far ahead in the sky, the area was dark and clouds seemed to have been parted like a curtain on the edges of its rod. On one side, far below her, was a flurry of activity involving Police Vehicles; the hover boards, the mobile boards, the cars and the bots that announced alarms and floated through the air and carried a police voice that ordered the area be locked down.

On the other side of them, 3 miles separating the different groups both, she saw thugs in a similar outfit of before; most of the in tank-tops, some in plain bleached green uniforms and others had Telewatches but they all had SpaceBoxes hanging on their waists so she knew they were being funded heavily.

She had to be quick to make progress and thus, plummeting like a meteor to get their attention, Mako Nini was already holding someone by the neck way before the dust from her landing cleared.

"Who sent you?"

"I do not an-"

She broke his neck and moved to the next who was also on the floor from her landing. "Who sent you?"

"I would rather d-"

Granting his wish, she broke his neck too and moved on and when the dust had finally cleared the moving gang of thugs halted their movement. "Who sent you guys?" She had seen a massive the crater from her vantage pint too and sincerely hopped that Kazu Nini had not been a part of that so this had to be quick. "Are you going to fight or answer?"

They raised their ProjectileGuns or ProjectileSnipersGuns at her and when she began moving so that to her view they had totally stopped, she approached the first man with a touch of her hand that concentrated blood in that area of his body until he fell to the side from the weight of gathered liquid in that specific area. For the next, she touched his sternum and blood gathered at his back until it popped out. The following ones were some legs, ribs and a head which similarly had rapid swelling until those areas busted in a splash of gore she seemed not to notice. Mako Nini had left one last person who did not understand the speed or level of cultivation which allowed the Pixie before them to do what she just did.

He saw half and partial bodies so he decided to be honest anything she wanted.

"Where is your base?"

"The pace where the skies have darkened over, please I do not kn-"

She had run to where he had told her, only to see the basin she had seen from up above Throwing her head around, she turned to the guy but saw a bloody bag and mangled flesh where he had been at her grip from her speed that she had carelessly brought him along with. Tossing the body in anger at the fact that he could have still been useful to her questioning, she saw that there were some signs of movement already. Mako Nini noticed a peculiar hatchet and knew that there must have been an Orc involved.

The older Pixie pieced from this that they had evicted their personnel in haste and that the team she had met were here to shush investigations on this incident by giving funds to the approaching teams or whoever was in charge.

Throwing most of her Ko-jin into her senses, she raised her head in rekindled possible hope, not hiding her anger or palpable killing intent at the whole situation. Her breath caught and she zoomed towards a ceratin direction Mako Nini then met up with some bloodied person and when she was about to call out, she was bombarded with an attack that would have made her proud years ago.

Avoiding the Police was easy and getting back, even easier.

Her niece had a few scars but she will survive. This should make her stronger, hopefully next time she would be giving the tests to the young one herself. Although, at Kazu Nini's age she really could not be considered young anymore.
