Chapter 23 (Part 2) A News Report and New Universe Responsibilities.

An hour later, the young Pixie left the Bank and the first face Kazu Nini saw was the Goblin who had met her guardian at the registration tables.

"I heard you got a good score."

"Oh, yes I did."

"I also heard you antagonized the nobles."

"No, I antagonized those against me."

"That was not what I heard."

"If whoever I targeted was against me then I definitely antagonized them."

He laughed, "your Nini blood runs true."

"What does that mean?"

"She did not tell you?"

"Tell me about what?"

He looked confused for a moment, then congratulated her and left.

When she got to her room, Kazu Nini was met with the Spirit who bowed at the waist.

"Th-thank you, sincerely."

The Goblin was walking out of her room, hair still wet from the shower and towel on her shoulders that she tossed back into the rim when she was fully out. "Yeah, that was mad; you managed to gain more followers, and you pissed off the nobles."

"I really did not know that Uniah Gramanos was a noble."

"Still," Jagnou Nanhor bowed at the waist. "Thank you, it meant a lot."

"Okay, I would really like to hear your story."

The Spirit stiffened then hovered unto the chair. "Another day."

Isimaila Fginja's eyed caught hers and they both shrugged at the same time before the Goblin spoke. "All that time and resources you gave us, we will have to go to the Alchemist and pool up funds so that we will be able to make the most of them."

"What do you mean?"

"If you have a repetition of a medicine, it becomes less effective over time."

"Oh, yes. Will the alchemist be costly?"

"Well," the Goblin raised both hands in fists and wiggled her neck from side to side. "We will be with the Prime Student, so he better not."

The Spirit laughed and so did the young Pixie, "give me a bit."

Kazu Nini sent her new account details to her Resource Manager through her Telewatch and was expecting the money, then stepped out of her room to hear news on the broadcast.

"The building is still in ruins and apart from the central core which has made repairs the Complex has been shut down."

"At first," the reporter continued, "it was thought to be an attack but at some point, the building rearranged itself and grew taller. In fact, if not for the chaos and the startling discovery of a bunker on the opposite end of the building that later leads to a stream with steep walls where the property ends, one would never have expected such."

"Illjakio Enterprise – a subsidiary of the Infamous Noble One's - would never have thought to be hiding such a startling discovery. We now pass the mic on to one of the discoveries on sight."

The coverage scene changed to see a young girl in tattered clothes. The rags she wore made her skinny frame even look more emaciated. She had to be held up and marks from manacles were bound to her wrist and ankles.

Kazu Nini went to the kitchen and began dicing carrots, green onions, pepper, cabbage and lettuce.

"We were carried, I still remember my home on the Human Continent."

"What were you made to do, here?"

The girl started shaking and fell to her knees before crying and the man who was reporting brought the camera to his face after the view had shown the bunker and more humans with signs of restraints on the body in red and swollen lines. When he saw a few pixies and some fairies the shock on his face was evident. "More news will be covered in the incident. Stay tuned." They began showing adverts and Jagonu Nanhor was changing the channels with the Goblin whose heels were on the seat of the chair as her back was on the floor.

"Charming nobles, eh."

"Yeah, those beautiful creatures."

The Goblin spat upwards so that her phlegm caught the ceiling and the Sprit shivered in disgust.

"I have aim not to worry," but Jagonu Nnahor had switched where her head and leg was before moving upwards and lying back down.

"L-liar."

"You guys sure have energy," she was boiling rice in water in one pot and the other was heating after she put oil in it. She then put a cube of concentrated sauce in the pan with oil and let it melt before spreading it around. "After all that work."

"I did not use my full strength, I barely showed what I was capable of."

"Y-yeah right."

"Hey, Spirit why do you doubt me?"

"You looked pretty fired up d-during the t-test."

Isimaila Fginja chuckled, "whatever." She turned her head to the ceiling. "Oy, Kazu Nini, do not leave us out of that food."

"Bring me more ingredients and I will consider it." After she had put salt and pepper then the vegetables, the Pixie turned it several times in the sizzling oil a while before upturning tomato paste into the pan and mixing some more. The stew finished first, but by the time the Goblin and the Spirit brought their own food, she had to start again.

They ate rice and stew with chicken and some fish that they kept in the oven for a while before it was ready.

"So, I want to start the cultivation by next week."

"We only saw the compound, next week is Internal Orientation."

"W-what does that m-mean?"

"Like the interior of the buildings and stuff."

"S-so when do classes s-start?"

"The week after."

"Someone is always well informed."

"Got to be."

"Anything I should know?" Kazu Nini would need something she could work with, that was organized so that she could plan her movements.

"Speeches, sport events and get together occasions."

"I'll skip the events and the occasions"

"P-prime student is already a bad g-girl."

"I need to catch up. And if Gramanos is going to be a problem, I guess I better work hard."

"You think you can juggle school and cultivation?"

"I have to try."

Her Telewatch rang and she set it on loudspeaker.

"Is it an admirer?" The Goblin gave her a wink with a wide smile.

The Spirit covered her 'mouth' before Kazu Nini told them to shut up after rolling her eyes and laughing.

"Whose Boss is the Prime student?"

"Fairy, I saw that you ca-"

"Whose Boss is the Prime Student?"

From her turn Kazu Nini could tell that the girl was not going to stop and sighed. "I do not know, fairy, tell me."

"Aww, Prime Student is so drab. I think I will make a write up on this."

Kazu Nini almost giggled, "It's the new Universe's Boss, Prime Student and CEO founder." She even bowed at the waist and Zlai Dfon clapped in enthusiasm.

"Boss, the new recruits are wondering when you will give them pointers and time to chill with?"

Kazu Nini waited before she spoke. "During the get together events I will make a showing. Tell Shafa Rinmon and Naro Meena that we will need at least 1,000 hand bands, anklets and necklaces each and immediately."

"Shafa also said that she would add some more wealth to you as you have helped the New Universe."

Kazu Nini laughed, "what? She is giving me rewards, now?"

"Should I tell her not to?"

"No, just tell her I knew we were kindred spirits and add a wink for me. Tell her I will be waiting."

"Okay, anything else?"

"Ask her to allocate the distributions and get the performances of all our people. Do it according to skill first, contribution second as we will need funds here; I do not want to disturb the funds we raked up from Jhoklon and lastly, networking and appointed position."

"Appointed position?"

"Let them all send interviews to Jinja Kaliope and let him vet them."

"Please send to me the other needed positions on the group." Zlai Dfon then summarized what her Boss said before, before speaking once again. "Thanks for the time addition and the resources."

"You will have much more, out!"

"I love you, Boss. Out."

The Goblin had been there throughout the exchange and spoke up after a while. "This New Universe thing, how far are you taking it?"

"It might be eternal and it might not be, but for now I see it growing still. So, I am delighted."

"Can I join?"

"Sure. After the interview."

Jagonu Nanhor turned her 'face.' "W-what of me?"

"No problem."

They spoke a bit more before the Pixie retired to her room and checked the state of her core. She could tell that it would not be too long before she became Divine Early Level 7. So, she planned to use her prizes to hit 8 before the year's end and that meant she also had work to do on her cultivation before she got her rewards. The feeling of being able to reach to her skin through the Ko-jin tendrils that she had been forming daily was quite novel and exciting.

Also, Kazu Nini also remembered that she wanted to view one more MemoryPill and was high in even more curiosity about things she could achieve with time, then she cultivated a bit before allowing her eyes to close.
