Imani kicked her legs in the air repeatedly before letting them fall back to the bed like they were lifeless. She grabbed a pillow and pressed it into her face before groaning into it and kicking her legs in the air again. She wanted to scream but she was afraid Lucas would hear it and come rushing into her room again like last night... when she was wearing the see-through nightwear. She dropped her legs and instantly sat up with the pillow still pressed to her face.

It had only occurred to her that was what she was wearing while she was brushing her teeth after she woke up to find herself alone in the room. The mortification she had felt then and was still feeling right now was unmatched and she really wanted her spirit to leave her body. She had told herself that he probably didn't see anything but she knew he definitely had because she had knelt on the bed and the lights were on.
