What You Least Expect Happens

Veil travelled to various cities to check their statuses, it seems that every city she has visited so far is under their own preparations.

Soldiers learning different mana usages, forgers crafting more weapons, engineers making advanced types of magic vehicles that have offensive capabilities, and ordinary citizens are helping out on the other aspects such as paper works and the like.

The present Adventurer guilds and teams have also increased their quota for magic crystals, mana crystals and even power sources.

This way, the Spiritforms' production will always be able to answer the demands.

In the upcoming war, as foreseen by the Primordial Darthoxis, it is either kill or be killed, there is no gray area or an in between.

Among the 10 continents, more than half have already increased their Hero count tenfold, in just a few more days that number would still dramatically grow.

Even if the Heroes that are just recently been produced by Spiritforms are immature, they would still be able to produce stronger and better firepower than ordinary Adventurers.

As for low level Adventurers that have been upgraded by Spiritforms to reach high levels instantly, the same thing could be said to them in terms of their firepower and potential.

The strength of the enemies are yet to be known, only the Gods would know how much puppets have the Dark Clown amassed during the half millennium that has passed.

If the Dark Clown is being this patient after the War in Slovan'r, there must be a different goal this time.

The Dark Clown, as evil as they can be, will not declare or instigate war without a plan in mind, they would always do things for a benefit and beyond enjoyment alone.

During the Ancient War, many of the Dark Clowns have exploded their own bodies to massacre different troops from both sides.

No one knows what the objective is behind the self-destructive attacks, only the remaining Dark Clown knows.

The Dark Clowns' origins have always been a mystery, they are natural killers with godly stealth and elusive capabilities which forced the Gods to give up the ant chase.

They would just alter potential devastating events that would be caused by the Dark Clowns instead of directly confronting them.

Meanwhile, after going around for half a month in various cities, Veil has finished estimating the fighting chance against the Dark Clown's army.

Veil then visited various Elven cities; she is now looking for clues related to the Alvan Argonaut, Riveria.

No one among the elders knew, they are all just pointing the grand elder at Alvanheim.

This prompted Veil to personally visit Alvanheim in this life, in which she immediately did.

She instantly finished the puzzle of Iridia, which is still the same one in her past life; she also noticed that Iridia is now the size of a normal person.

"I need to meet the grand elder, please lead the way." Veil said to Iridia unhurriedly.

"Very well." Iridia walked in front of Veil.

"Pleased to meet you Grand Elder Doryarus. I am an Adventurer by the name of Runa. I wish to know the Elves' Hero, Riveria." Veil stated her intentions in a respectful tone.

"Hmm, it has been a while since Riveria's disappearance. Even my time in this world is coming to an end… But she still has not returned." Doryarus said in a low voice, slightly trembling from his old age.

Elves could live up to thousands of years; Doryarus for example is now approximately 1400 years old.

Meaning, he was about 900 years old when Veil encountered him on her past life.

Reaching the age beyond 1200 years for Elves could be said as an achievement and a miracle.

This is one of the benefits of mastering mana and its deeper principles, if you could produce magic arrays that could alter your bodily functions, you would be able to theoretically extend your life span.

Even Grandmaster magicians adept of magic arrays and mana itself could live up to 150 years old, which is truly beyond the ordinary life span of humans which is only about 80 to 90 years old.

"I understand, forgive me for my untimely visit. I shall go for now." Veil bowed to the elder.

Doryarus slowly nodded, his weak body and muscle response is visible as he could barely lift his hands, and he needs to be assisted by magic to be able to move freely.

Veil felt hopeless, Riveria is undoubtedly the strongest warrior of the entire Terra on their side.

Unbeknownst to the entire race of Elves and to Veil, Riveria sacrificed her life force for the World Tree to give birth to a new Hero.

"Oh the wise World Tree and God of the Forest, I give up my life and everything I can offer for you. Bear a fruit that would grow through generations and fully bloom for when the perfect moment comes…" Riveria put both of her hands on her chest to feel her beating heart.

Riveria then unsheathed her weapon, a branch of the World Tree, and stabbed it on one of the roots.

Vuimmm~

Slowly, her body turned into a wave of orbs of life force with green and yellow hue, which washed over the roots of the World Tree.

The orbs seeped through the roots, the branches and the leaves, seemingly giving it more life.

After she disappeared, the World Tree rapidly changed and grew bigger; the branch Riveria once used became one with the main body as the roots she stabbed elongated.

Sooner, the branch grew leaves with a large fruit glowing with radiant light and brimming with life force.

This fruit grew and absorbed all the powers it could via the World Tree, surviving through hundreds of years that passed.

In the perfect moment, the fruit grew as big as a human child and slowly softened.

The fruit split in half and dropped the child on the roots; she opened her eyes and observed her surroundings.

She retained all of her memory as the Alvan Argonaut, rebirthed through the World Tree.

As willed by the World Tree on her wish, she was born at the same time Veil woke up in Runa's body.

She never expected the events to turn out like this; she did not consider she would be back.

She chose to resort to this because she hit her limit in growth and power, she could not even break out of the Ethereal Cage of the Dark Clown.

If she does not act with great decisiveness, she will never be able to move forward.

["I am the God of the Forest, Eltaor Presthyra. You shall now be reborn as Sylphy, the new Alvan Argonaut who will save the entire world from its peril."]

["You emerged at this point in time for a reason. Find it out for yourself, protect the World Tree, and save the land of Terra from the evil!"] The God of Forest introduced himself before disappearing.

'Sylphy…' Riveria thought inwardly, with her rebirth as Sylphy, she now has the capability to grow further beyond her limit as Riveria.

She steeled her mind to discover her current timeline, the reason for being born in this time.

Unlike Veil, living as Runa, Sylphy is already as strong as Riveria which was her original body.

All the memories, skills and techniques she knew was transferred to Sylphy, which was further nourished within the World Tree, through hundreds of years.

She immediately unleashed her explosive power as she made clothes out of forest type mana and dashed away from the World Tree with a new mission in mind.

Sylphy chose not to reveal her identity to the other Elves; she just blended in within Alvanheim to learn more of what transpired for her sleep in the World Tree.

Now that someone is searching for Riveria, she mixed a miniature domain with the existing barrier of the city to sense everything happening in the entire city.

She then focused her attention to the conversation between the elder and the human Adventurer who introduced herself as Runa.

After the conversation, she pulled out the domain and entered stealth, perfectly merging herself with the environment.

The human is flying through the forest but suddenly stopped, "You are still following me until here, who are you? Show yourself."

Sylphy undid her stealth and introduced herself: "I am Sylphy, an Adventurer Elf in Alvanheim. I intentionally followed you because you are searching for Riveria."

"Why? Do you have a clue on where to find her?" Veil's interest was piqued.

"Indeed, because I am Riveria. I only chose to reveal this to you because you were the first one to search for me and I thought that we could be connected." Sylphy stated the truth.

"I do not believe you. Prove it." Veil unsheathed her sword.

Vuizzz!

Sylphy did not respond with words, but opened her hands and created a massive orb.

The orb showed Riveria's perspective when she sacrificed her life force for the World Tree.

"I intended to make a totally new person through the World Tree as a direct descendant of me, but instead, I was reborn as Sylphy, as willed by the Forest God." Sylphy smiled.

"Then how do you think we are connected at all?" Veil asked in a suspecting tone, she chose not to reveal who she is yet.

"No other race besides my own kind has asked for my whereabouts, but you somehow visited here to find out for yourself because you know something and you need something." Sylphy closed her hands and the orb shrunk down.

"Precisely, I am Veil who reincarnated into this girl." Veil suddenly revealed the truth.

"Veil…" Sylphy realized that she emerged into this timeline the same time as Veil, which then connected a lot of dots in the clues left by the Forest God.

"I am searching for you knowing that you are the strongest combatant on our side, we must absolutely defeat all the enemies on the Dark Clown's side." Veil replied with a serious voice.

"I intend to do that; I will not let myself be trapped again this time." Sylphy clenched her fist.

Isn't Sylphy a cute Elf name? Like you just want to grab her and put her on your pocket to keep her because she's just so cute?
